Why do I need Islam

Auto-generated transcript:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
And peace and blessings be upon the Messengers and Prophets, Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and his companions.
From Abado. One of my very good and dear friends asked me a question on behalf of his friend.
He said, my friend, he’s asking, he says, I believe in God. But why do I need religion?
I believe in God. So I believe in Allah. But why do I need Islam? For what?
Why do I need Islam? I believe in Allah. Why do I need religion?
So let me take it a step further to answer him.
Because this is a question that might be in the minds of many people. It’s not only him.
Let me take it a step further. And the step further I want to take it is
You say, I believe in God. I believe in Allah. Why do I need religion?
So I will say to you that you believe in Allah.
You don’t even need to believe in Allah. First, take that, take from there.
You do not need to believe in Allah to be a Muslim.
in Allah. So don’t believe in Allah. There are lots of atheists in the world. They’re not getting
cancer. They’re not getting COVID. They’re not getting paralyzed. They’re not dying. They’re
living happily, right? Lots of atheists. So why do you need to believe in God?
Second point, you might say, well, I am an honest, decent, ethical, moral human being.
I will not lie. I will not cheat. I will not fornicate. I will not run away with somebody
else’s wife. I will not murder. I will not use foul language because I will not use drugs. I
will not drink alcohol, right? Because to do all of these things, I don’t need to have some threat
of Jahannam or some, you know, enticement or reward of Jannah to do that. This is a decent
way of doing things. I don’t need to have some threat of Jahannam or some, you know,
of living in this life. And between you and me, I know, I know many people, including atheists
in this country and other countries who are among the most beautiful people that I know.
Absolute integrity. I will trust them with my life without a second thought.
But they’re not Muslim. They’re not anything. They don’t believe in God, nothing. So why do
you need to believe in God? Why do you need to believe in God? Why do you need to believe in
God? Why do you need to believe in God? Why do you need to believe in God? Why do you need to believe in
God?
Why should you believe in God? think about this because these are things, that is the reason
why, I’ll come to the answer to this, but that is the reason why, we have this very
loose attitude towards religion. But because we really don’t understand the significance,
the importance of it. So let me tell you why?
Isn’t this crashed into knowledge?
Okay.
Isn’t this iron “…zythNoR…”
Isn’t this iron… Isa saying, Kanchan?
Isn’t this iron… Isa saying, Kanchan?
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala told us why.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said,
In Surah An-Naba, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said,
What is all this argument?
What is this big fighting?
Somebody says there is a day of judgment.
Somebody says there is no day of judgment.
Somebody says you will be resurrected after you die.
Somebody says no resurrection.
I become mud and dust and what not.
What is all this argument?
What is this argument about the Nabail Azeem,
about the great news, the great day, the great, you know, Nabal?
What is this argument?
Allah said,
You will find out.
Definitely you will find out.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
And then, see the beauty of the Bayan of the Quran.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is now telling you
why you should believe in God, in Allah,
and why you need religion.
And it’s not for these reasons.
It’s not because to be a nice human being,
to be honest, to have a good marriage,
to be successful.
No, no, no, no, no.
For this you don’t need God.
You don’t need religion.
For this you need a brain.
You need to stop being stupid.
Right?
You need to stop being stupid.
Simple as that.
Get some intelligence.
Get some, make your brain work for a change.
You don’t need God and religion for this.
Allah is saying now, Allah is showing us.
So what does Allah do?
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala draws our attention
to the world that we live in.
To the world that we live in.
To the world that we can see around us.
I walk in Ashley Reservoir.
I see the beautiful water.
I see the trees.
I see that yesterday I see, I saw deer walking on water.
Now there is actually a video of that deer walking on water.
If you don’t believe that, I’ll show it to you.
What people don’t know is there is a path there,
which got covered with water.
I know because I walked on that path.
So you say, oh, deer walking on water.
Ah?
They believe in God.
Do they hear the video?
Allah is showing us.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala draws our attention to the world around us.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala warns our leads to open.

to be clear.
The whole world around us.
Allah is saying, did Allah not make this world, this earth a place for you of safety,
for you to walk on, for you to live on?
And he planted mountains as pegs to hold down the tectonic plate
so that you don’t have earthquakes.
Symbol of stability is what? A mountain.
What is more stable? What is stronger than a mountain?
Allah said, we created these and we established them
so that you will not have earthquakes.
And Allah said, I created the night for you to sleep
and the day for you to walk.
I created sleep for you.
As somebody who suffers from insomnia,
what is the price of, how much will he pay to sleep a full night in peace?
As people who have, in your older age, right,
you have to urinate frequently.
You cannot get more than two hours of sleep at a stretch.
Even if the time is there, you can’t sleep
because you have to get up and go to the toilet.
Right?
As people who cannot sleep,
even
reflector I know I didn’t make the Sun I know I didn’t make the moon I didn’t make

gave me Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah so Allah says now you see
all of this and you accept and then Allah says what
Allah said the day will come when it will be established the day of judgment
will be established when the soul will be blown the trumpet will be blown and
they will come out of their graves in armies
you

you

and then Allah says and doors will be opened in the heavens
and the Cave will be opened in the heavens
There is a Physicist called Michio Kaku who is the name of he lives in America
Michio Kaku wrote a book in hiperspace read it
in hyperspace Michio kaku says that
Going the opposite of the Big Bang theory there was this big bang
which is enormous disclosure of energy
Which created the whole universe and the universe therefore is in
Perpetual expansion but at some point in time this bigger bigger getting bigger
And one of the movie only think about the universe
parlarich that life nature soil activities there was no capabilities outsideに
this energy will finish and when the energy finishes what happens?
The opposite happens which is gravity takes over.
When gravity takes over all that we see in the universe will come together
in one massive explosion which will completely annihilate everything.
Michio Kaku says if the human race wants to escape that annihilation
it must open doors in the heavens.
You will see the heavens and you will see doors in the heavens.
Not for you to escape but Allah wants to take you to the day of judgment.
How did we see the mountain before this?
As a symbol of establishment, as a symbol of strength and power,
as something which is firm, which is strong.
Allah said you will see them floating.
Like clouds of dust.
Same mountains.
You believe that this mountain had power.
This mountain had substance.
You worship the mountain.
It’s now floating as a cloud of dust.
And then Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says
Inna Jahannama kanat mir sada
Littaghina maaba
Labithina feeha haqaba
La yadhuquna feeha barda wala sharaba
Illa hamiman wa ghassaqa
Jazaa wifaqa
Fahu innahum kanu la yarjunahisaba
Allah is describing Jahannam.
Allah says Jahannam will be brought close.
It will be like a trap.
And whoever is in that will stay there for a very,
very, very long time.
And it has all what Jahannam has.
Allah describes thirst and fire and flames.
For whom?
Inna hum kanu la yarjunahisaba
They were those who denied the day of judgment.
They were those who denied the hisab.
They were those who denied that they are accountable
to someone greater than them who is their creator.
Inna hum kanu la yarjunahisaba
La yarjunahisaba
Wa kathabu bi ayatina kithaba
Wa kulla shayna hasayna mukithaba
Fadhuqu falanna zidakum illa azaba
They denied the ayat of Allah.
They denied the revelation.
But they didn’t know that everything is being preserved.
And now they are in a place where the only increase
they will have is in punishment.
And then for those who believe in Allah
and who live a life which is pleasing to Allah.
Inna lil muttaqeena mafaaza
Hadaikawa anaba
Wa kawa’iba toraaba
Wa ka’asan dihaapa
La yasma’una fiyaa lagwan wala kithaba
Jazaa’a
Min rabbika aata’an hisaba
And who is this Rabb?
Allah is describing the jannah and all that he will give.
Go read the translation.
Who is this Rabb?
Rabbis sama’at wal ardi wa ma baynahum ar-rahman
La yamlikuna minhu khitaaba
Yawma yaqoom alrooh wal malaika tusaffa
La yatakallamuna
illa man nadhina lahu ar-rahman
Wa qala sawaba
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
Faman sha’at takhaza ila rabbihi ma’aba
Who is this Rabb?
He is Ar-Rahman.
He is the most beneficent.
The most merciful.
Ar-Rahman.
This is my Allah.
Ar-Rahman.
And who is he?
Rabbis sama’at wal ardi wa ma baynahum ar-rahman
He is the Rabb of the heavens and the earth and everything between them.
Everything we know and everything we don’t know.
He is the creator, the sustainer, the maintainer, the protector, the provider.
The word Rabb has a huge meaning.
And Allah says,
That day,
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
That day,
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
That day,
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
That day,
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
That day,
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
That day,
On that day,
They will stand and nobody will be able to speak and no one will have permission to say anything except the one who Allah permits.
Illa man adhina lahur ar-Rahman
And that person will only say something good.
Baqala thawala
Thalika al-yawmul haqqa
This day is the day of truth.
Faman sha’at taqadha ila rabbihim aba
Whoever wants to, he can make a path towards his Rabb.
You want to face that day in a state where you are honored?
Go ahead.
Most welcome.
You will then have to live your life the way Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught you.
You can’t say I’m American.
I am Gen Z.
No Gen Z, no America, brother.
Wake up, man.
Wake up.
There is one God.
There is one Rasul.
There is one Kitab.
It doesn’t change for you.
It does not change for you.
If you are like me, no problem.
I won’t be here tomorrow.
The truth won’t change because of that.
You can say I will disrespect my teacher.
I don’t care.
I’m going to sit like this with my feet in my teacher’s face.
I will look at my phone.
I will do this.
I will do that.
Teacher can’t say a word to me.
Nothing will change, my brother.
Teacher may not say a word to you.
It will not change the fact that you are going to turn out into a loser.
Because only losers behave like that.
People who are winners focus.
Please understand.
Focus and distraction are two opposite words.
Like hunger and food are two opposite words.
Right?
Health and sickness are two opposite words.
You cannot be healthy while being sick.
Can you be healthy while being sick?
If anyone believes that, what do you say to him?
You say you are sick up in your head.
Really?
How can you be healthy while being sick?
You are either sick or you are healthy.
You can’t be the two.
So how can you be focused while you are being distracted?
So if you think that you are going to sit with your face on the phone.
And you are following Instagram and Snapchat and this and this and this.
And at the same time I am focused and I am learning math.
I am learning physics.
I am learning the Quran.
Do you understand?
Give me a break brother.
Please.
It’s your life.
Go burn it.
Don’t expect me to say that’s the right thing.
I will not say.
You can kill me.
I will not say it.
If you are doing something wrong, I will say it is wrong.
Change.
If you don’t change, you will suffer.
But believe me, you will not suffer because I didn’t warn you.
I know I get very unpopular with some people.
I don’t care because I didn’t.
I’m not sitting here because I got voted here.
So what difference does it make to me?
I will tell you the truth as I understand the truth.
Take it or leave it.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says, make a way to your Rab if you want.
And then we come to the last ayat of this surah.
An ayah of such enormous.
Despair.
May Allah protect us.
Allah says, and when they see the punishment close.
And they know that this, I made it for myself.
This is my action.
They will not ask for forgiveness.
He will not ask for forgiveness.
The one who denied.
The one who said, I don’t need God.
The one who said, I don’t need religion.
He will be in such a state of despair that even though he will be in front of our Rahman.
He will not ask for forgiveness.
He will say, I wish I was dust.
I wish I was never born.
I wish I was never created.
Even though he’s standing in front of our Rahman, he will not ask for forgiveness.
Can you believe that?
That is the level of despair on that day.
And Allah is saying, this is not inevitable.
This does not have to happen to you.
Wake up now.
Wake up now.
Recognize your Rabb.
Worship your Rabb.
Live a life of goodness to please Allah.
So what will happen?
If you live a life of goodness, you will get goodness in this world.
Plus you will also get Jannah.
So why do I need religion?
Not for this world.
I need religion because I need to know what will happen to me when I die.
I can deny anything in the world, but I can’t deny death.
I know death is going to come.
So when death comes, what happens after death?
Who will tell me?
The one who lives forever and does not die.
Only he can tell me what happens after I die.
And he has told me what happens after I die.
Why do I need religion?
Because I want what happens after I die to be the best part of my life.
Because that is forever.
To get that, I need religion.
Right?
We ask Allah to open our eyes and our hearts.
We ask Allah to give us the knowledge and then the ability to work and the discipline to work and the strength to work on it.
We ask Allah to enable us to stop fooling ourselves.
We ask Allah to enable us to open our eyes.
And to seek the path which leads to great goodness in this world and to the pleasure of Allah in the Akhirah.
And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the noble Prophet and his family and companions.
