Bismillāh ar-Raḥmān ar-Raḥīm. Al-ḥamdu lillāhi Rabbil-‘alāmīn. Wa salātu wa salāmu ‘ala ashraf al-anbiyā’ wal-mursalīn, Muḥammadin Rasūlallāh ﷺ, wa ‘ala ālihi wa sahbihi salāmun kāseran kāseran.

My brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah, Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā sent Ādam alayhis-salām and Hāwā alayhis-salām, our ancestors, from Jannah to the earth. And Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā has His own reasons for what He does; so Allāh sent them here. And Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā gave them the key of Jannah to return because the whole of Jannah is their home. Because we are from them, our home is Jannah. Our home is not here; our home is Jannah. But we have been sent here to do something. Like we do here: you travel from your home to some place to do some task to accomplish something. But your focus is back home. You are not going to that place to settle there; you are going to that place to do something—maybe to spend some time with relatives and friends, maybe to do some work-related thing, maybe for a holiday. Whatever it is, no matter how nice the holiday is, you are not going to go and live in that country. You left here, and you are going to come back here. You are going to come back here, and you are going to come back here because this is your home.

So Ādam alayhis-salām and Hāwā alayhis-salām, and therefore by that connection, our home is Jannah. We came here to do something, and that something is *uqrijatil-nās ‘amrūna bil-ma’rufi wa tanḥawna ‘anil-munkari* wa tu’minūna billāh. And that something is for the benefit of all humanity—to cause goodness for all humanity to enjoy, good; to forbid evil; and to have faith in Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā. This is our job. We are here for this purpose. And in order to accomplish this purpose, as they say, charity begins at home. So to do something in the name of Allāh, and to worship Him. Because Allāh says: individual personal maqsad (reason) for our being is to worship Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā alone, because only He is worthy of worship. And collective purpose of us, and of the people of the world as a people, is what I explained: for the benefit of all humanity. And that benefit also Allāh specifically described and mentioned. So general benefit of all humanity: *amr bi-l-ma’ruf*, enjoy in good; *nahī ‘anil-munkar*, forbid evil; and *tu’minūna billāh*, you have faith in Allāh.

And once this job is over—and by “job over” I don’t mean the work of *amr bi-l-ma’ruf* and *nahī ‘anil-munkar*; that will never be over—but our time here, because Allāh sent us also for a specific period of time, and it is the mercy of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā. Allāh did not send us here, and He didn’t create human beings without a lifespan. Allāh created them with a specific lifespan. No matter how long you want to live, imagine if the evil people who we see around us in this world were causing so much corruption, so much suffering in the world. Supposing they had eternal life, supposing they would never die. So death is one of the ni’mat of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā; it is one of the greatest blessings of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā. Because it brings to an end whatever is happening in the world. So the most evil person: if a good person dies, you will feel sad obviously, but what about the evil people? Supposing that evil person had no death, supposing they were going to be here and create their evil forever and ever and ever and ever. So death is a mercy of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā.

So I am going to end my lecture here. I hope you have enjoyed this video. I hope you have enjoyed it. So Allāh sent us for a specific period. When the period is over, we return. And when we return, like in any work-related thing, when you come back from your assignment, you give an account. “I went to do this work, I came back, I succeeded, I did not succeed, whatever I did.” Before you resume your duties, before you go back to your office. So also there is a reckoning. There is a reckoning on the Day of Judgement where we will give account. We ask Allāh to make this easy for us and to enter us into Jannah without account, *inshā’allāh*. Prophet said, the one whose account Allāh takes will be destroyed. He said everyone will have to give an account, and the one whose account Allāh takes will be destroyed.

So Sayyidina Āishah said: “Ya Rasūlallāh, how does it? I mean, how then how will we escape? How will we go to Jannah?” He said, Allāh will make the account easy for whoever He wants. And “easy” meaning, the book will just come and Allāh will say, “Okay, go.” Allāh will not go into the details of this. Why this, why this; we will not ask anything. Allāh will not go into the details of this. And that’s why Prophet used to make this dua; we should also learn the dua and make it: *Allāhumma ḥasibnī ḥisāban yaseeran*. Wa la, make my *ḥisāb* easy. Do my *ḥisāb*, *ḥasibnī*; make that, make, do my *ḥisāb*, *ḥisāban yaseer*. In a way which is easy. Make it easy for me. *Allāhumma ḥasibnī ḥisāban yaseer*.

And he said, Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, a man will be presented before Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā; he will be given a chance to go to Jannah. May Allāh make us among them. Where Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā will remind this person of the sins that he committed. One by one, Allāh will say, “On this day you did this.” And the man will say, “Yes.” How is he going to deny? How will he deny about the day when Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā said: *al-yawma nakhtimu ‘ala afwāhim wa tukallimūna ‘aydihim wa tashhadu arżuhum*? The mouth will be sealed. And the hands and feet will bear witness to what the man used to do. How will he deny? His own body will bear witness. And he will say, “This is what he used to do.”

May Allāh Ta’ālā make us among those for whom this is only good, *inshā’allāh*. So how will he deny? And then he is talking to his Arab. Allāh Ta’ālā says regarding Allāh Ta’ālā regarding Allāh regarding Allāh. … and this will go on for as long as Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā wishes.

And then the man will say, “Ya Rabb al-‘alāmīn, I do not deny any of this because you know you are aware of all that I did and didn’t do,” but he will say, “Ya Rabb, but when I was in this world, you covered me with your *sattār*.” You protected me; you covered me; you did not allow the world to see what I was doing; you did not allow the world to know what I was doing. You hid this; you covered me with your Raḥmān. But today I have been exposed before all the people here. Now imagine: all the people includes your and my parents, our grandparents, our children, our grandchildren, and all our friends, and all the people who used to come when you invite—whenever they invite me to you, you know, any of these gatherings and so on. May Allāh have mercy; people introduce you in very exalted terms: so-and-so, so-and-so, so-and-so, so-and-so.

And if they can’t find anything, they will say, “I’ll Hajj.” Assuming that at least Hajj *toh kare hum*, ya bal. Alhamdulillah, Allāh Ta’ālā karwa. So great titles. So the man will say, “Ya Rabb, all of these people now they know the truth, and I have been humiliated before all these people.” Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā will say, “Turn around and look,” and the man will look, and he will see a curtain of light behind him between him and everyone else. And Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā will say, “I covered you with my Raḥmah, with my *liḥf* (covering) in the world. I did not let anybody know, and I’m covering you with the same cover here. Nobody knows now. I have forgiven you. We’re into Jannah.” See the mercy of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā now! I covered the words; this accounting is only so that we know where you are—you know where you are—and so you can appreciate the forgiveness of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā.

He asked Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā to make us among those who He will selectively forgive, who He will call and forgive, *inshā’allāh*. He asked Allāh to make us among the exceptions to His rules of sternness and His rules of justice. He asked Allāh to make us the exception: treat us with mercy, not with justice. Even justice we cannot survive; mercy. He asked Allāh to cover us. Alhamdulillah, Allāh Ta’ālā covered us in this dunya. Allāh has kept His cover on us. We ask Allāh to continue to keep His cover on us in this dunya and to keep this cover when we meet Him. When we meet Him, Jalla Jalaluhu, we ask Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā for His mercy and His grace. We ask Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā for His permission to be in the majlis of Rasūlallāh Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. We ask Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā for His permission to listen to the recitation of the Quran al-Karīm with Sa’wīl Muḥammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Ala Alihi Wa Sahbihi Sallam in the voice of Rasūlallāh Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. And we ask Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā to enter us into Jannat al-Ladīyya al-Firdaus al-‘Alā behind Rasūlallāh Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, and to keep us there and to give us His own *dīdār*. Where He will announce and He will say, “Ya Ridwān,” remove the curtain, move the curtain, take out the curtain between me and my slaves, and we will see Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā in His majesty and grace. And Allāh will say: the greatest ni’mah I will give you today is that I will henceforth never be displeased with you.

And we ask Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā for this, *inshā’allāh*. Wa Sallallahu ‘ala Nabiyyil Karīm wa ‘ala Ālihi wa Sahbihi Ajma’in bi Raḥmatika ar-Raḥmān ar-Raḥīm. Wal-ḥamdu lillāh wa bil-‘ālihi.
