Khashiyya + Shukr = Taqwa

Auto-generated transcript:

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
And peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of the prophets and messengers.
Muhammad, the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and his family, and his family.
Peace be upon him, and his family.
And after that,
we will continue.
Sisters,
one of the, or the purpose for which Allah created us is to worship Him.
Because He said,
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا
Allah said, I have not created the jinns and the insan,
the jinn and the insan, humans and jinn,
for anything other than my worship.
إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا
So we know that,
we know what the purpose of our creation is.
It is to worship Allah.
Now,
what are the bases of worship?
Who do you worship? Why do you worship?
If you think about this,
you will realize
that we worship
for two reasons.
We worship because we are so aware
of the glory and majesty
of the one we are worshiping.
Right?
We are so aware of that.
It’s not fear as in running away from something,
but it is fear as in
fearing to displease the one
whose glory and majesty
we are so conscious of and aware of.
And the second reason is,
theLove.
Because we love him.
We worship because he is there.
It means to be an infidels.
Because we live an infidel,
because we love him.
Because we stay faithful to him,
we keep in touch with him
His love runs throughout,
every little thing.
Faizullah said we love the one
we worship.
And this is a given part of it.
That’s all.
We worship Allah.
Now, how do we inculcate this?
Because this is the basic basis of Taqwa.
Taqwa is founded on this, on creating and inculcating in our hearts, the awe and majesty
and glory of Allah and love and hub for Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala Jalla Jalaluhu.
The way to do that, both of these, the way is through observation.
Is by opening your eyes and looking around you.
And that is the reason why Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala said,
إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّنَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِوُلِي الْأَلْبَادِ
Allah said, really in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and the night,
there are signs,
for people of intelligence.
So Allah is saying, open your eyes.
You want to see my glory and majesty?
Open your eyes.
Look around you.
Use your senses.
And when I say open your eyes, I don’t mean necessarily open eyes as in eyes,
because there are many things, some of the most critical and important things,
are things that cannot be seen.
By the eyes, so the eyes don’t matter.
Because take love for example.
It’s felt.
It’s not seen.
Take the, I’m walking now in the morning, the sun hasn’t risen yet.
The thing that I’m very conscious about in all the years that I’ve lived here,
the thing that I’m absolutely extremely conscious about,
is the clarity.
The clarity.
The cleanliness of the air.
Just the, the air is so beautiful and clean.
Right?
So beautifully.
That I take a deep breath and I thank Allah .
Alhamdulillah.
Ya Rabb, you enabled this for me.
You enabled this, me to breathe this absolutely beautiful fresh air.
Right now the sky is overcast.
There’s some lightning flashing.
And looks like it might rain.
And this is Florida and the rain literally hammers down.
So I’m hoping it will not happen while I’m out walking.
But, InshaAllah, we’ll see whatever Allah does is for the khair.
So look around.
Look around as in live a life of awareness.
Don’t live a life of default.
That’s the reason why in Islam,
all forms of intoxication are haram.
You know, all forms of intoxication are haram.
Because intoxication, what does intoxication do?
Intoxication takes away your awareness.
You’re no longer aware of your surroundings.
You’re not aware of what you’re doing, your own actions.
You’re not aware of who might be seeing that, be affected by that.
You’re not aware of anything because you are in your drunken stupor.
Or your drugged condition where your mind is taken over by the substance that you are using and abusing.
So where is the question of awareness?
Now, that’s why it’s prohibited.
So live a life of awareness.
See what’s around you.
Feel what is around you.
Listen to what’s around you.
Smell what’s around you.
And recognize the glory and majesty of Allah.
Of Allah in it.
I’m walking through this garden.
Somebody’s garden is so beautiful.
These are amaryllis, lilies.
And I can smell their beautiful, very subtle aroma at this time.
Just awareness, right?
So one of the ways I practice and I recommend to you is describe for yourself your surroundings.
Describe your surroundings.
Say it in so many words.
Say it to yourself.
Record it if you like.
If you are writing, write it down.
But describe your surroundings.
What are you seeing?
And, you know, draw that picture in words.
Now, the idea is not here to improve your vocabulary or to enable you to speak or write
in a impressive manner, all of which will automatically happen.
The purpose is not that.
The purpose is to help you and me to simply feel this, you know, to simply appreciate
what we are seeing.
By when you name the thing, your attention is drawn to that.
So, for example, if I name what I’m seeing here, which is the name of the thing, I’m

concrete which is not uneven, so it’s a smooth surface, safe to walk on. The streets are
well lighted, so even though it’s not yet dawn, you know, it’s not, I’m not sort of,
I don’t have to worry about tripping or falling in darkness.
So, when I’m saying all these things, I’m aware of this. SubhanAllah, Allah gave me this ability.
I’m looking out on this golf course, as you can see, which is behind these houses, and
usually I, when I get to the end of this, I walk on the golf course as well, before the golfers
start teeing off, because getting a golf, getting hit by a golf ball in the head is not a great
idea.
So, it’s better to stay off golf courses when people are golfing. So, awareness,
awareness of your breath. Now, as I’m walking, the, this, my phone is not
sensitive enough to record all the bird sounds that I’m hearing, but I’m hearing constantly
birds chirping.
Different kinds of birds. There seem to be a lot of mockingbirds here.
So, I hear them. I hear robins, I hear cardinals,
all kinds of birds. But, and so I’m aware of this, this is SubhanAllah.
There’s no, there’s no traffic, there’s no cars, there’s no noise pollution, there’s no smoke,
you know. None of that.
It’s just beautiful, pure bird sounds.
Actually, I am conscious of the fact that by speaking, I am creating
disturbance for myself, instead of shutting up and listening to the bird,
which I will do in a minute, once, as soon as I finish recording this.
So, awareness of the creation that Allah made, the glory and majesty of it, and go into the details
of it.
Go into the mind of the bird.
Go into the mind of the bird.
Go into the mind of the bird.
Go into the mind of the bird. Go into the mind of the bird.
Go into the mind of the bird. Go into the mind of the bird.
Go into the minute details of it. Alligators, I’m in the land of alligators.
The interesting thing is that alligator eggs, when they hatch, if they hatch at,
if I’m not mistaken about the temperatures, if they hatch at 43 degrees Fahrenheit,
they become male. And if they hatch one degree less, they become female.
So, just look it up, Google it up. I may be mistaken about the exact
number of the, you know, temperature. But point I’m making is that a degree of one,
a difference of one degree decides between whether the alligator is male or a female.
See the, see the khudrat of Allah . How Allah creates this and He has created this
intricate environment.
Siddhartha Maharaj says, Allah creates this and He has created this intricate environment.
We have achieved, for example, us to brandish ourselves in human beings.
We will have Model Himself with creatures of Allah .
And He has created images with creatures of God, and We won’t find people of Allah
in Seen啦H .
So, this is the행ang of Islam.
You see that If…
If you had this contraint and if you might ask any kind of follows like that,
you will find, we do it injustice and care for the issue of Allah .
is whether it is, you know, you take everything, it’s a delicate, delicate balance, which is
so beautiful and which is maintained.
And if for any reason it gets disrupted, then there is the organism malfunctions, the system
malfunctions.
So, glory and majesty of Allah.
And the second thing is, by thinking about how Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gave this all
to us.
Allah said,
Allah said, we have given this into your control.
We made this for you.
I’ve created for you whatever is there in the heavens and the earth.
And I’ve given this into your control.
All kinds of things.
Our brain, for example.
People are extremely impressed with AI and AI scientists and this and that.
Ask yourself, who made the intelligence?
Who made the intelligence which makes artificial intelligence possible?
Think about that, right?
Don’t get overawed by science.
Science is a tool.
Science is a tool.
You don’t take a spanner and look at the spanner and say, oh my God, this spanner is so fabulous.
Spanner is a spanner.
Use it to loosen nuts and tighten nuts.
So, the thing is that, just think about it.
You say, this is my Rabb, this is my Allah.
And he gave all of this.
This is my Allah.
To me, in my control.
He created this for my benefit.
And he created me to worship him.
Right?
Allah gave us all this and he created us to worship him.
So, let us worship Allah .
Let us recognize our Rabb .
Let us not worry about and agonize over what will happen tomorrow.
What will I have in a food to eat?
Will I have a job?
Will I have a business?
What will happen if this political thing happens and that political thing happens?
None of this.
Everything happens and happens only by the will of Allah.
Nothing else.
Everything, without exception, happens only and only by the will of Allah.
So, Alhamdulillah.
Please Allah.
And whatever happens around you, Allah will extract you from it.
Allah said,
The one who has Taqwa, Allah will extract him from his difficulties.
Allah did not say, Allah will remove the difficulties for the whole world.
No, Allah said, it will not happen to you.
It will not happen to you.
There may be accidents on the road, but you will not be involved in them.
There may be diseases happening, but you will not get sick.
There may be political upheavals, but they will not affect you.
Right?
Nothing bad will happen to you.
Allah will protect you.
And Allah will keep you in His protection.
And Allah will keep you in His safe custody.
And when will that happen?
When we have Taqwa.
So, we ask Allah to help us to have Taqwa, to fill our hearts with His glory and majesty.
And with thanks to Him, gratitude.
As I said, we build Taqwa by the khashyat of Allah, by becoming aware of the glory and majesty of Allah.
And by being grateful to Him.
By having His Taqwa.
So, we ask Allah to make us on the
And we ask Allah to save us from ourselves and from the Shaytan.
And help us and protect us from following the
Shaytan.
And they said, He is the One who is the Most Merciful.
And they said, He is the One who is the Most Merciful.
And they said, He is the worst enemy.
The most blatant and open enemy for you.
And may Allah bless the noble Prophet and his family and the companions with the mercy of Allah.
