Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. [PAUSE] And peace and blessings be upon the Messengers of the Prophet Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family. From now on, we started talking about the lessons from Surah Al-Kahf. We ask Allah to help us to understand the Qur’an and to live our lives according to the Kalam of Allah in the way of Rasulullah. [PAUSE] There are four lessons that Allah has taught us in Surah Al-Kahf. First, And these four lessons relate to the four tests that the Dajjal will present to those who are there at the time. May Allah protect us from that, Inshallah. [PAUSE] The test of faith, the test of wealth, the test of knowledge, and the test of power and authority. There are four tests. [PAUSE] The first is the test of faith, of Iman. The test of La Ilaha Illallah, Muhammadur Rasulullah. The test of La Hawla Wa La Quwata Illallah. [PAUSE] The test of La Yanfa’ Wa La Yathurra Illallah. [PAUSE] The test of faith, as in there is no one worthy of worship except Allah SWT. And that this worship and everything should be done according to the way of Muhammad SAW. Which is the meaning of Muhammadur Rasulullah SAW. The simplest, most powerful, best example of illustrating that, of seeing that is Salah. Allah SWT said, Establish Salah for my Zikr. Is there still regard for regard for regard He said, pray as you have seen me pray. [PAUSE] So we establish Salah in the way of Muhammad Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. This is the template. This is the framework for everything we do. It is not restricted only to Salah. Salah is the head of the matter. So Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam’s way was to describe everything in terms of Salah. [PAUSE] For example, in the famous Hadith of Jibreel, Jibreel Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam asked Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, what is the meaning of Ihsan? [PAUSE] And Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, Anta’abudallaha ka’annaka tara. Fa’il lam takun tara fa’innahu ya’rak. He said, It is to worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala as if you can see Him. And though you cannot see Him, know that He sees you. [PAUSE] Right? He could have described Ihsan in any other way, many other ways. But he described it in terms of Salah. Because this is the way of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. That he would describe and he would give the example of everything in terms of Salah. [PAUSE] Because Salah is the way of Allah. It is the head of the matter. [PAUSE] So therefore, when we say, How should I live my life? You live your life according to the same framework that you pray. [PAUSE] How do you pray? We pray the way Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam prayed. If my prayer in any way is different from the prayer of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, it is rejected, it is not accepted. [PAUSE] It has not happened even though you may have prayed. [PAUSE] Every respect, from the so-called smallest to the largest, [PAUSE] must follow the way, the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. [PAUSE] We are coming into Ramadan and our favorite pastime for the whole world is moon fighting. Not moon sighting, moon fighting. Somebody sees the moon at this time, somebody sees the moon at that time, somebody says follow Saudi Arabia, somebody says follow Norway and Sweden, God knows. [PAUSE] What should we do? The same thing we did in Salah. Follow Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Follow us. [PAUSE] Do you follow Saudi? No. You follow Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Do you follow India? You follow Pakistan? You follow Bangladesh? You follow whichever? Oman? Oman? Qamarako? No. You follow Muhammad Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. [PAUSE] We do not follow anybody else. That is why we are called Muslims. Please try to understand this. [PAUSE] We are called Muslim because we follow Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. [PAUSE] In what? In everything. [PAUSE] This is the… Very, very simple principle, very powerful principle of Islam to understand. And this is the test of faith. [PAUSE] This is the test of faith. The test of faith is what do you do in a time of crisis? What do you do when there is a dispute? What do you do when something is not going according to how you want it? [PAUSE] So what do you do? We do what Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam did. Period. So and so is doing it like… We don’t care. We do not care. [PAUSE] The majority of people in this world today, they do not even worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. For every one person who is a Muslim, there are four people who are not Muslim. So what should we do? Leave Islam? Follow the majority? [PAUSE] Think about this. Where is the question of majority? We do what is right. We don’t do what everybody is doing. [PAUSE] Doing what everyone is doing is to live like a donkey. Like a sheep. Like an animal. Not like a human being. Human beings use their brains. They don’t do what everybody… You do what is correct. You do what is right. You do what is haqq. You don’t do what everybody… Let everybody do anything. [PAUSE] Let everyone do whatever they want. That’s not my lookout. My lookout is myself and I will do only what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, the Rasul taught us. So the test of faith is… The test of faith is to follow the Rasul . So in this moon sighting, what did he say? He said, see the moon. He didn’t say calculate when the moon might be visible. He didn’t say follow this one or that one. [PAUSE] Right? He said, see the moon and start fasting. See the moon and stop fasting. And if you have not seen the moon, and he made it very clear, he said, if the sky is cloudy and the moon is not visible, visible for that reason, then complete 30 days. So if it is 30 days of Shaban, complete that and start fasting. [PAUSE] If you see the moon, start fasting. Otherwise, if the moon is… When you are saying, people say, oh no, but you see the moon was born. What is the Nabi Salah Sahib saying? He is saying, if it is cloudy and you cannot see the moon, what does it mean? It means the moon is born. Right? Otherwise, where is the question of cloudy or not cloudy? [PAUSE] Does it matter if it is the 15th of the month and you are, you know? We are talking about the new moon. So if it is cloudy or not cloudy, the question comes only when the moon is already there. [PAUSE] Nabi Salah Sahib is saying, even if the moon is there, if you cannot see it, do not start fasting. If you cannot see it, do not stop fasting. Start the month and finish the month by sighting the moon. Very simple. So don’t fall into any arguments. Don’t fall into any needless waste of time. Follow the Sunnah. This is the test of faith. And this is what the, [PAUSE] what happened with the Ashab ul Kahf. [PAUSE] Right? So we will look at the story and so on, inshallah, tomorrow. But for today, think about it. The first test from the test of Dajjal is a test of faith. This is what Dajjal will do. Dajjal will do this. He will say, do what I am telling you. Worship me instead of worshipping Allah. As I told you yesterday, worship means to obey. [PAUSE] So Dajjal will say, obey me instead of obeying Allah. Obeying Allah is to obey the Rasool. وَمَن يُطِي الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَىٰ اللَّهُ Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said, the one who has obeyed the Rasool has obeyed Allah. So if, [PAUSE] somebody is telling you, do not obey the Rasool, do this in this way, then this is a Dajjali advice. [PAUSE] If somebody says, do not obey the Rasool alayhi salatu wasalam, this is Dajjali advice. [PAUSE] We obey the Rasool alayhi salatu wasalam, because Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala told us to do that. [PAUSE] And we worship Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, we don’t worship anybody else. Meaning we obey Allah, we don’t obey anybody else. If Allah said, do this, we do this. Period. [PAUSE] Obedience means to do as we have been commanded. سَمَيْنَا وَعَطَانَ As I have said many many times before. [PAUSE] سَمَيْنَا وَعَطَانَ We have heard and we will obey. We hear and we obey. سَمَيْنَا وَعَطَانَ The Sahaba did not say, the Nabi s.a.w. did not say, the Quran does not say, أَبْصَرْنَا وَعَطَانَ أَبْصَرْنَا وَعَطَانَ We have seen and we know. We have seen and we obey. No, we have heard and we obey. [PAUSE] We have not seen. This whole Deen is based on what? Iman. [PAUSE] بِشَهَدَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ Iman bil-ghaib. So the ghaib means something which is unperceivable, not even unseen. Not even unseen alone. Unseen, unheard, unimaginable, unperceivable by any means. [PAUSE] Our Iman, faith is based on that. [PAUSE] So why do you still believe? Because, سَمِعْنَا We heard. From whom? [PAUSE] From whom? [PAUSE] Rasulullah s.a.w. Allah did not speak to you. Rasulullah s.a.w. So we are saying, Ya Allah, we heard from your Rasul and we believe. [PAUSE] When Rasulullah s.a.w. announced his Isra’ul-Miraj and the Quraysh were making fun of him and laughing and so on. What were their arguments? Their argument, their argument, basic argument was you are claiming something which is logically impossible. You are claiming to do something that you have done something which cannot happen. Scientifically not possible. You are claiming that in one night you went from Makkah to Jerusalem and then into the seven heavens and you came back and everything else all in the same night. Not possible. [PAUSE] This was their argument. [PAUSE] They came to Avokar Siddharth Dallal. He was not present at the time. They said, your friend is saying this. What do you say? [PAUSE] He said, if he said that, I believe. Right? If he said that, I believe. So what is he saying? What might be the doubt? Not what he said. The doubt is, did he say that? Which means you who are reporting this to me, whether you are a liar or speaking the truth, I don’t know. I have to verify that. He said, is the person reporting truthful or not truthful? This is the fundamental criterion and the principle of authenticating, authenticating, the interpretation of Ahadith. All the Muhadithun, they use this principle. If he said it. That’s why the Isnat, did Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam say that? That is how, if he said it based on this, the entire Ilm of Al-Asma or Rijal is based on this. [PAUSE] They have the histories of over 150,000 Sahaba and others based on this principle. If he said it. [PAUSE] So the whole, the thing goes on. You heard from, I heard from Dawood. Who did he hear from? He heard from Abu Bakr, Maulana Abu Bakr. So then they say, did they both live in the same time? Did they both live in the same city? Was there a chance? Is there any other report that he met, [PAUSE] A met B? Is there a report? [PAUSE] Huh? [PAUSE] What kind of person was this person? Did he ever tell a lie? Was he known for having said a lie sometime? Was he, he was not a liar, but maybe his memory was not good. So was he known as somebody who used to forget things and so on? [PAUSE] All of this is authenticating what? The people who report the Hadith. We are not talking about the Hadith itself. The people who report the Hadith. When all of this fits, yes, he is a reliable person. Yes, he is a truthful person. Yes, they met. Yes, they, then we say, okay, we accept this one link. Then we go to the next link. And the next link, all the way up to Rasulullah s.a.w. He says, Sahabi Abu Hurairah, Sahabi Anas bin Malik, [PAUSE] Sahabi Abdullah ibn Umar, radhiallahu anhum ajma’i, heard from Rasulullah s.a.w., such and such, we accept. [PAUSE] So Rasulullah s.a.w. said, see the moon and start fasting. See the moon and stop fasting. If the sky is cloudy and you cannot see the moon, complete 30 days. Now what is so difficult to understand about this? If this is difficult to understand, then I suggest find a neurologist, get a MRI of your brain, because something is wrong with your brain. It’s as simple as that. So they came, they came to Abu Qasiddiq, radhiallahu anhu, and they said, your friend is saying this. What do you say? He said, if he said it, I believe. They asked him, how do you believe? Here is this thing which is impossible. How do you believe? Abu Qasiddiq, radhiallahu anhu said, we believe even more than this. [PAUSE] He said, we already believe much more than this. What is this? He said, we believe in Allah. Have we seen Allah? [PAUSE] We believe in Yawmul Qiyamah, Yawmul Akhirah, the Day of Judgement. Have we seen the Day of Judgement? We believe in Jannah. Have we seen Jannah? We believe in Jahannam. Have we seen Jahannam? [PAUSE] So if we believe in Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala Jalla Jalaluhu, Al-Khaliq wa Al-Malik wa Al-Raziq wa Al-Hakim, wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer, He can do whatever He wants. We believe this. What is so difficult if He takes His Nabi alayhi salatu wasalam from the world? From point A to point B to point C and back to point A? Of course He can do it. The one who created the entire heavens and the earth cannot do this. Who told you it can’t do this? Of course He can do it. The point is, do you believe in Allah? That is the issue. The test of faith is this. Do you believe in Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala Jalla Jalaluhu? And if you believe in Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala Jalla Jalaluhu, then it means you believe in Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam because there is no way you could believe in Allah without believing in the Rasul. The Rasul is the one who told you about Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. [PAUSE] Muhammad Rasulullah Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the second part of the kalima is the dalil for the first part. [PAUSE] Muhammad Rasul Allah Rasulullah Rasul of Allah Not just Rasul. Rasul of who? Allah Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam The second part of the kalima is the dalil for the first part of the kalima. How do I know Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala? Because I know Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam because I believe him, because he spoke the truth, because I follow him. If I deny Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam na’udhu billahi if I say I don’t believe him, then you cannot believe in Allah. Anyone who claims to believe in Allah, who claims to believe in the Quran al-Karim and he does not believe in Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he’s a liar, he’s a cheater, he’s a shaitan, he’s from Dajjal. There is no way that this is possible. [PAUSE] And if you believe Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then what do you do? You follow him. So we say La ilaha illallah the test of faith La ilaha illallah there is no one worthy of worship except Allah. How do you worship Allah? Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the way Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam worshipped Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. So we do things the way the Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us. And in the case of Moonsaidi I’m saying we have another another less than a week and inshallah we will be in Ramadan may Allah grant us Ramadan al-Karim with good health and the ability to please him and to enable us to do that. [PAUSE] That time how will we decide? Is it going to be Wednesday? Will it be Thursday? What will it be? Based on the sighting of the moon because Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said so. No other we don’t need any other dalil. Why? Because the Nabi said so Allah is the best. Why do you pray in this way? Because Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said so. There is no other dalil. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala did not teach us how to pray. Yes, yes think about this. [PAUSE] Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala was when Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala you know the Quran al-Karim Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala’s speech Allah didn’t write the Quran Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala spoke it. So Allah could have described the method of salah in complete detail. After all He is telling us to establish salah. So automatically logically it means you are telling me establish salah you must tell me how. [PAUSE] He did not do it directly in his kalam. He did it through his Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The way of Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam salah is this is how Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala taught him. Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not invent this. This is how this is Wahi. How to do salah is also Wahi. The hukum to do salah is also Wahi. [PAUSE] One is Wahi Matloo the other one is Wahi Gair Matloo. [PAUSE] One is the Wahi which is recited in the in the salah the other one is Wahi which is not recited. That’s all. [PAUSE] So we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to help us to live this deen by and in the way of Muhammad Rasool Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. This is the test of faith. We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to help us to pass this test of faith and not fall into the trap of shaitan and the jal by denying that by using our so-called intellect by using our so-called you know intelligence. It cannot be intelligence if it’s going against the word of the Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It is not intellect it’s sickness. So we ask Allah to save us from this sickness. We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to help us to follow the sunnah of Rasool sallam as precisely and as correctly and as clearly as possible. Wa sallallahu alayhi wa sallam nabiyyil kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain bi rahmatik ya Rahman wa raheem.
