Allah is the most merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers. Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Tasliman kathiran kathira. InshaAllah we will complete the khatira on the lessons from Surah Al-Kahf. And then if Ramadan starts then we will not have these khatiras after Fajr. The whole season of Ramadan is above. I have already recorded that. That will come out on our channel inshaAllah. So you can listen to that. [PAUSE] The last test. As I said there are four tests that Allah mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf. The test of faith. The test of wealth. The test of knowledge. And the last is the test of power. [PAUSE] In the test of power Allah mentioned a righteous king called Dhul-Qarnain. [PAUSE] Once again there is no need to conjecture about who exactly in history Dhul-Qarnain was and so on and so forth. If Allah wanted to specify he would have specified. If Allah did not specify it means that the actual specific identity of the individual is not important. What is important is what we learn. [PAUSE] So Allah mentioned this king. And Allah SWT then said. [PAUSE] He told us the story of this king. And the journeys that he undertook. And what he found at the end of his journey. And what he did. So Alhamdulillah all those details. And the journey that he did. And the journey that he did. Please read them. It’s the last two three pages of this. And so I’m not going to talk about them here. We’ll just look at the lessons from that. [PAUSE] The first and foremost lesson. [PAUSE] Is to understand and learn that all wealth and power. And all. [PAUSE] Sultan and hukuma. Belongs to Allah SWT. And he gives them. To whoever he wants. [PAUSE] Like Allah said. Allah SWT mentioned that everything belongs to Allah. Say. Allahumma my Rabb. My Allah. Allah. مَالِكَ الْمُلْكَ He is the Malik. He is the owner. And he is the, another form of recitation. He is Malik. He is the king. الْمُلْكَ Of [PAUSE] everything. Of all that exists. [PAUSE] تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءَ He can give this mulk. All of it, part of it. To whoever he wishes. He gives it to whoever he wishes. وَتَنْزِو الْمُلْكَ مِنْ مَنْ تَشَاءَ And he takes it away from whoever he wishes. تُعِزُ مَنْ تَشَاءَ And he gives izzah and he gives prestige and honor to who he wishes. [PAUSE] وَتُظِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءَ And he humiliates whoever he wishes. بِيَتِكَ الْخَيْرِ Allah in your hand is all khayr and all goodness. إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ Truly you are capable of doing whatever you want. You have control over everything. عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ So that’s the first lesson. To understand this and to remember that in our lives. The purpose of all this understanding is not simply to get some information, but to implement it in our lives. Second one is to establish justice if you have wealth and power. Okay. Wealth and power doesn’t mean that you have to be a king. [PAUSE] Whatever wealth you have, whatever power you have, you have one servant who works in your house, you have power over that servant. Establish justice. Don’t ill-treat them. Don’t make them work more than what they are supposed to work. They have to have some working hours. Follow that. Respect that. Talk to them decently, respectfully. Okay. And all the rest of it. So establish justice if you have wealth and power and don’t oppress the people. Dhul-Qarnayn mentioned this when he was given the freedom to punish or to treat people kindly. Allah gave him the freedom. He said, Allah said, do what you want. He said, I will punish the criminals. I will punish those who are going against the laws of Allah SWT. But I will help those who are not because I have power. It doesn’t mean I will use this power for anything negative. Third lesson is don’t take from others and be content with what Allah has given you. People offered tribute to Dhul-Qarnayn. He said, I don’t need tribute from you. What Allah has given me is enough. [PAUSE] And this is also similar to what Sulaiman A.S. did when the embassy came from Sabah. He said, I don’t need tribute from you. He refused the gifts. And he said that what Allah has given me is enough and it is better. [PAUSE] Now, when he is saying what Allah has given me is better, it doesn’t mean Allah has given me more money than you. It means Nubuwat. Allah made him a Nabi. And he is saying that what Allah has given me in the form of Nubuwat is better than you. Any gift that anybody can give me, any human being can give me. [PAUSE] So contentment and Qanaat with what Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us is far better than seeking material wealth or comparing with other people. The secret of sadness, the secret of depression is to compare with others. Whether it is wealth, whether it is whatever, your shape, your form, your house, this or that. Comparing with others is guaranteed to make you sad, to make you unhappy. [PAUSE] Number four, take steps to protect yourself or to complete your goals. Like Dhul Qarnayn, build the wall and so on. But realize that these will succeed only if Allah wills. [PAUSE] Allah has ordered us to, make effort. [PAUSE] Allah said for the human being, there is nothing more than what he works for. So we are supposed to work, we are supposed to make effort, let us make the effort. But don’t believe that success comes before because of the effort. That is why the Tafseer of the Quran is the life of the Nabi . [PAUSE] This concept which I’m explaining, of making effort, but having faith in Allah, we see this in Rasulullah’s conduct in the battle of Badr. He made all the effort, he made all the arrangements, he set up everything. And then he stood before Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala and he made dua. And he said, Oh Allah, if this fails, then our mission fails. [PAUSE] He did not make this dua without the effort. He could have made the same dua sitting in Masjid-e-Nabawi. He need not have gone to the field of Badr or anything. He would have made the dua, right there. [PAUSE] He did not do that. He made all the effort. He travelled, he did all this. He put himself at risk. And then finally, when all that was done, then he made dua. And this is a lesson for us. Make the effort. Don’t make duas just sitting around and you know, you make dua or you tell somebody, please you make dua for me. We will make dua, what are you doing with your dua? [PAUSE] Are you doing something or not? [PAUSE] So, I think that is the point. It is very important for us to do that. Sayyidina Amar came into the Masjid one day at a time which was not time for Salah, maybe some in between. And he saw some young men sitting there. He said, what are you doing here? They said, we are Mutawakilin. We have Tawakkul on Allah. [PAUSE] Sayyidina Amar whacked them and he said, get out of here. He said, Allah SWT does not send gold and silver from the sky. Go work. Don’t sit in the Masjid and say, we have Tawakkul. So, it is very important for us to understand Tawakkul is to trust in Allah SWT after making the effort. [PAUSE] Like we said the, the Prophet said, tie the camel and then trust Allah. That doesn’t mean you trust the rope. [PAUSE] But it also doesn’t mean you just leave the camel and say, well, Allah will take care. No. Allah has given you a hukum. So, follow the hukum. [PAUSE] So, therefore, take steps to protect yourself or complete your goals. But realize that success will come only from Allah. So don’t take credit for whatever success you may get. But realize that it is the grace and mercy of Allah SWT. This whole thing of, you know, self-made man or meri mehnat se mai kamaaya. Kuj bhi nahi kamaaya. Allah Ta’ala diye to kamaaya. Mehnat se kamaana kar raha hai to, hamaal aur mazdoor aapse bharke paise wala nahi tata. Unni jaisi mehnat kar raha hai, aap apni zindagi pura hai. Aapki puri mehnat ko milai bhi to, aapke ek din ke bhar awar nahi hota. [PAUSE] Mehnaat ka kya sewaale? O toh aapko Allah de raha. [PAUSE] Kaam toh kar raha hai. Kumki Allah ka hukum hai. But Allah is giving you. If it’s a question of, that you are earning with your effort, then the head load, coolie and the construction worker would, what he does in one day, if you add up all our effort for the whole life, it will not be enough. It will not equal to that. Because that fellow is working in the burning sun, in 45 degree Celsius temperatures, throughout the day. [PAUSE] Kabhi kareham. Allah karam hai. Allah never put us in that situation. [PAUSE] Number five, remember that no matter how much power or wealth you may have, it will come to an end one day. And you will stand before Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la. No matter who you are. No matter what kind of king you think you are. No matter how much of power, wealth there is. One day you will stand before Allah. And I will stand before Allah. And we will all stand before Allah. [PAUSE] Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la then mentioned in this, after this whole story is over, some there are two or three very, of course the entire Quran is something to think about, but two or three very, very important ayat. Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la mentioned those who are the great, greatest losers with respect to their deeds. Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la said, Qul, hal nunabiyukum bil aksarin a’mala allatheena dhalla sa’yuhum fil hayati al-dunya wa hum yahsabuna anna hum yuhsinuna suna’a ulaika allatheena kafaru bi ayati rabbihim wa liqa’ihi fahabitat a’maluhum falaa nuqeemu lahum yawmal qiyamati waznah thalika jaza’uhum jahannam bima kafaru wa’ttakhadhu ayati wa rusuli huzwa Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la said, Say, O Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, shall we tell you who are the greatest losers with respect to their deeds? They are those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds. These are the people who are the greatest losers. These are the people who are doing good, but what they think is good is not helping them and it’s actually harming them. They are those who deny the ayat of Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la and the meeting with Him in the Hereafter. So their work, their works and their effort is in vain, is wasted. And on the Day of Resurrection, we shall not give them any weight. They shall be, that shall be their recompense. Their recompense, their reward will be Jahannam because they disbelieved and took my ayat and my messengers by way of jest and mockery. [PAUSE] This refers to people who, [PAUSE] one, it refers to people who disbelieve in Islam and in Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la. But those people, if you see, they are, they may be righteous in terms of their actions, they speak the truth, they are not lying and cheating, they are not doing anything like this. They are doing also good works, they are doing charity and this and that. But they are worshipping objects and ideas which are not worthy of worship. Instead of worshipping Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la, they are worshipping other stuff. Instead of worshipping their Creator, they are worshipping their creation. [PAUSE] That’s one set. Another set is people who, do shirk with Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la. So people who are, who call themselves Muslims, but for example those who, are going and worshipping at graves. And those who are asking favours from people who have passed away. And they go to this grave and that grave and you say, so and so give me this favour, that favour. Right? Where is the dhalil for this? Tell me. Where is dhalil for this? Allah Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la said, ask me, I seek refuge in you, I will answer you. [PAUSE] So where is the dhalil to ask anybody else? [PAUSE] What we do? [PAUSE] Now the person doing that, the person committing that action, he thinks it is good. That’s why he is doing it. [PAUSE] Why is he going to the grave and doing tawaf? Why is he prostrating at the grave? Why is he going under the moon? [PAUSE] Khawaja so and so, Sheikh so and so, I don’t have any children, give me children, I don’t have any wealth, give me wealth. I don’t have a job, give me a job. So he is doing good deeds. He is not doing it by saying it is a sin. He would not have done it by saying it is a sin. He is doing it by saying it is a good deed. [PAUSE] He is doing all of these stuff, thinking it is a good deed. He is going and worshipping at graves, putting his head under the thing. And that’s why Allah is saying, these are people, they are the biggest losers because they are doing what they think is good but this is harming them. [PAUSE] Now that’s a terrible thing because you are, it takes effort, it takes effort, it takes money, it takes, you know, all this. You are doing all of this thinking it is good but it is actually harming you. So Allah said, who these are the aksareen aamala. These are the people who, who are doing good deeds. And they are doing good deeds. So the lesson from all this is that only the way shown by Rasulallah is correct. Other ways may seem to be nice but they lead to Jahannam. [PAUSE] There is no, people say, whatever you do, whatever you like, there is no whatever you like. There is only one way and that is the way of Rasulullah . And that is the way of the Prophet . They say all roads lead to Rome. There is to say in the days of the Roman Empire. All roads may lead to Rome but all roads don’t lead to Jannah. Only one road leads to Jannah. And that is the Siratul Mustaqeem. Which is the Sirat of Rasulullah . Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala mentioned specifically al Yaaseen wa al Qur’an al Hakeem Innaka lamizal mursaleen ala Siratul Mustaqeem. [PAUSE] Innaka, you are the one who leads to Jannah. You are from the mursaleen, from the Rasuls. And you are on the path of righteousness, on the straight path. Allah, He did not say you and this one and that one and that one. No, you. So whoever is on Siratul Mustaqeem has to be on the Sirat of Muhammadur Rasulullah . If he is on any other path, this is not Siratul Mustaqeem, all those paths lead to Jahannam. That is the message we are receiving. So the great danger is that those who practice those ways, they think they are doing good, but actually they are committing Shirk and they go into Jahannam. So also, those who do deeds to show off, Riya. [PAUSE] And Riya is in two forms. One is you actually do the deed to show off. The other one is directly or indirectly you influence others to talk about your deeds. [PAUSE] You are being introduced. Sir, you do not know, he is our brother, he is this Sheikh, this and that, or he is this Hazrat, this and that. And he does so many things, so many people feed him, he does so many things, dig a well, wash the soil, he does all that. You are being introduced. You know that he is introducing you. You do not stop him. You are very happy with the introduction. Why? You are doing it for Allah, do it for Allah. [PAUSE] Don’t mention what you do to anybody. And if anybody mentions that in public, stop them. [PAUSE] Right? Stop them, tell them, I am sorry, I am not, why are you giving all this introduction? Did I ask you to do this? [PAUSE] Don’t do this. Stop them. That is your job to stop them. [PAUSE] So very, very important. Don’t allow your daughter, to let her husband in. [PAUSE] Don’t waste her mother’s’s, child. But to make her to be lower. neue رعب intellig 21 إطلع [PAUSE] اتقو الان Shake it away. [PAUSE] اتبع [PAUSE] ايضا وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا Allah SWT said, Say, O Muhammad SAW, if the sea were ink, if the ocean was ink, to write the words of Allah SWT, surely the ocean would be exhausted before the words of my Rabb would be finished, even if we brought another ocean like it [PAUSE] to help it. And then, the next lesson, Allah SWT said, And he said, Jalla Jalaluhu, Say, O Muhammad SAW, I am only a man like you, بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ But Wahee has been sent to me that your Ilah, your Rabb, is one Ilah, Allah. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Rabb, let him do good deeds and associate nobody as a partner in the worship of Allah. [PAUSE] The lesson is that all praise and all thanks is due only to Allah. It is due only to Allah. [PAUSE] الحمد لله الحمد لله And that it is not in the capacity of humans to do justice to the glory and majesty of Allah. We can do our best, we should do our best, we should continue to thank Allah SWT, but no matter what you do, no matter how much you praise Allah SWT, it is not equal to what He deserves and what is due to Him. And the second thing is that Rasulullah SAW was a human being. [PAUSE] Right? So there are two aspects to this. Very important to understand both. قُلْ أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ means جِنسِيَتْ كِطَرْبَةً in terms of species, in terms of physical identity. Rasulullah SAW is a human being. He is not a, you know, an angel or some other life form. He is a human being. You and I are human beings. Therefore, in that context, in terms of the species, He is like us. [PAUSE] But the fact that He receives Wahi from Allah SWT sets Him apart and above every other human being that ever existed or will ever exist until the last day. So never believe that قُلْ أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ means that He is like me. He is not like you. He is not like you. He is like you only in the sense that He is a human being. That’s it. Period. [PAUSE] Other than that, He is the Rasul of Allah Jalla Jalaluhu Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam He is the one who receives Wahi from Allah SWT. He is the one who has been given the job of conveying that message to all of mankind. He is the one who will be given Shafa’at on the Day of Judgment and placed on Maqamul Mahmood. We ask Allah SWT for this, for Him and we ask Allah to make us among those for whom Rasulullah will make Shafa’at. He is the one who was taken by Allah SWT in Isra wal-Miraj. [PAUSE] Those who say that Allah’s Prophet was a human being because of us. You went to the Miraj? [PAUSE] Simple thing. [PAUSE] Because of you you went to the Miraj? Go and see. Subhana alladhi asra bi abdihi Bi abdihi [PAUSE] What is abdih? You? [PAUSE] La hulaqa ta’ibil Abdihi means Muhammad . [PAUSE] Laylam minal masjidil harami ilal masjidil aqsa alladhi barakna hawlahu linuriyahu min a’yatinah innahu huwa as-sabihul basir This ayat is concerned whom? [PAUSE] Aapki waaste, mehir waaste. [PAUSE] To Ana Basharun Mislukum means only in terms of Jinsiyat, in terms of species. [PAUSE] Nothing else. In everything else, Rasulullah is special, he is unique, he is superior and his superiority over every other human being, every human being ever created or to be created is like the superiority of the heavens over the earth, the sun over us, the superiority of you, name it. There is no comparison whatsoever. So we must be very very careful in terms of how we mention Rasulullah in this context. [PAUSE] And then Allah said, whoever wishes for a good ending on the day of judgement must concentrate on doing good work and not get distracted from that for any reason. Focus on your Amal. Focus on our actions. Don’t get distracted, don’t get sidetracked, sidetracked and do this and that. Today there is any amount of you know, distraction. Finally, what is the relationship? What is the relationship of Surah Al-Kahf to the Dajjal? Number one, as I mentioned, four tests. He will tell people to worship him instead of Allah. The defense, good companionship of Muttaqoon, [PAUSE] the Ashab Al-Kahf, [PAUSE] whoever was on Tawheed, they stayed together. They didn’t go and mix up with everybody else. So good companionship. Who are your friends? Who do you hang out with? Who do you socialize with? This is very, very important. Right? And the best thing is to have as few companions as possible. [PAUSE] Be alone, be by yourself, Alhamdulillah. I’m not saying become anti-social, no, but at the same time, stay away, stay away from all these parties and this and that and Dawata Khara, there is no need. [PAUSE] Stay at home, eat food in peace, sleep. At midnight, when Dawata Khara comes to Hyderabad, we eat at 11 pm. Then at night, we sit and eat. At one time, acid reflux. Who told you to eat? You didn’t eat at home. [PAUSE] So seriously, I mean, very, very important. Stay by yourself. If you must have friends, have good friends, couple of them, who talk good things, who don’t do hirmat, who don’t do slander, who don’t say bad things about people. Some people stay, they open their mouth, first thing is wrong. [PAUSE] They mention anybody, the first thing they say, is some fault of that person. [PAUSE] Why? Why should Allah tell you? You are sharing your happiness and happiness with everyone. Why? Why are you spending your good deeds to… If you can say something good, say something good. If you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut. Rasool Allah told us. Right? So very, very important. Good companionship. Second thing is, Dajjal will order, the rain to come and he will tempt people with his wealth. So whatever the rain is, the rain is not necessarily rain, it can be any other thing. But basically, he will say, you know, be my followers, I will make you wealthy, I will do this, do that. The defense of that is, open your eyes to the reality of the world and thank Allah for what he has given and know that, and know that one day you will leave it. No matter what it is. [PAUSE] And that’s why I always say, whatever you have, transfer it to your other account. Your other account is the Akhirat account. Spend in the path of Allah, it doesn’t matter. What you leave behind here, it matters. [PAUSE] Anything with any doubt, don’t touch it. [PAUSE] Because that doubt will go with you. Like I said the other day, somebody said, beautiful advice. He said, do not allow momentary pleasure of sin. [PAUSE] He said, don’t commit a sin for the momentary pleasure it gives you. Because the pleasure will end, the sin will remain. It will go with you in your Qabar. It will be with you on the Day of Judgment and it will take you into Jahannam. Similarly, do not allow momentary difficulty that comes with good deeds, to stop you from doing that good. Because the difficulty will end, the good will remain. It will go in your Qabar. It will be with you on the Day of Judgment and it will take you into Jahannam. [PAUSE] The best example of that is this. Little bit of khiba. This momentary pleasure, that’s why you do it. You talk some bad talk about somebody, momentary pleasure. That’s done. How long does it last? It’s over. [PAUSE] Somebody doing zina, how long is the pleasure? We all know this. [PAUSE] Somebody drinking alcohol, whatever you drink, anything haraap. Momentary pleasure. After that, pleasure is over. That sin remains. [PAUSE] Similarly, getting up for tahajjud. What is the difficulty? Just to get up is the difficulty. Once you are up, rest of it is, you go to the bathroom, you make Udo and so on, that happens. Just getting out of bed is the difficulty. That little bit of difficulty, bear the difficulty. [PAUSE] The difficulty will end in two minutes. But the good of that, remains with you. It’s very important. Third lesson, is he will try to [PAUSE] entice people with knowledge. [PAUSE] That he knows this, he knows that and so on and so on. What is the defense? Seek knowledge with humility. Seek knowledge from people of knowledge of people of Haqq. [PAUSE] Right? For example, somebody asked me the other day, he said, I’m doing this, I’m doing dars of Quran. I’m giving dars of Quran to people. [PAUSE] What shall I do to improve that? So I said, do you know Arabic? He said, no. I said, how can you teach an Arabic book, without knowing Arabic? [PAUSE] Supposing I tell you, I’m teaching Shakespeare. [PAUSE] So I asked you, do you know English? No, I don’t know English. I teach Shakespeare. You teach well, right? Do you know English? No. How are you teaching? [PAUSE] I’m teaching Urdu. I’m teaching Iqbaliyat. I’m teaching Iqbaliyat. Do you know Urdu? Do you know Farsi? No. How are you teaching Iqbaliyat? [PAUSE] This is a human’s. Your teaching, [PAUSE] please understand, to read the Quran, to understand for yourself, it’s okay, you can read a Tarjuma, you can read a translation and so on. But if you are teaching, it’s a different level of responsibility. That is why, when you, in the classical scholarship, they used to give what is called Ijazah. What is Ijazah? What does Ijazah mean? What is Ijazah? Ijazat. Permission. Permission. Permission. I have Ijazah for Tajweed. I have Ijazah for Tajweed. Means what? Means I have permission to teach Tajweed to somebody else. So learning Tajweed for yourself, Alhamdulillah, we should all do that. But if somebody says, teach me, do you have Ijazah in Tajweed? No. How do you teach? [PAUSE] So if you don’t know Arabic, yourself, how are you teaching Quran? Itti jurata apne ka se aagai? How have you become so fearless that you are teaching the Kalam of Allah, and you don’t even know the language? [PAUSE] It’s very, very, very important. [PAUSE] I will, I don’t want to spend more time explaining this, but it’s very important. So therefore, [PAUSE] Dajjal will do all of this. So defense of this is seek knowledge with humility, seek to improve your own level of piety, Taqwa, and Khashatullah. Learn to practice. Not learn to gather istilahat and terminology to impress people. [PAUSE] And purify our own nafs from all fasad. And the last one, Dajjal will control major parts of the earth. Allah will give him the power. The defense of that is be fair and just, and don’t oppress anyone because you have been given power over them, even if it is one person. And remember that the power is a test, and has been given temporarily, and that one day you will have to give it up. Those who are unaware will be deceived by shaitan, and fall into this trap, and be led astray by Dajjal and enter Jahannam. And those who learn the lessons that Surah Al-Kahf teaches will InshaAllah be saved from this calamity. Finally, I want to end with a dua of Rasulullah that he used to make as a protection from tests, and may Allah protect us from all trials and all tests. He used to say, Allahumma najjina minal fitan ma zahara minha wa ma batan O Allah, save us from all trials, that which are obvious and those which are hidden. And I ask this for you and for myself and for all of us, and we ask Allah to be pleased with us and never to be displeased. And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Prophet and upon his family and companions. By the mercy of Allah, the Most Merciful.
