From my brothers and sisters, Allah sent us a way of life called Islam, a deen called Islam.
Islam is not just a set of rituals or worship or anything else.
It is something that encompasses everything that a human being needs in leading their lives.
To lead their lives in a way which guarantees them success in this life and the next.
And it’s a very simple formula because sometimes what happens is that,
especially for those who consider themselves to be educated
and who study various areas of philosophy and anthropology
and religion,
various other things,
they tend to get distracted,
they tend to get misguided because they bring their own thoughts and feelings and ideas
into the practice of Islam.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gave us a very simple formula.
And the formula is,
obey Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
In the way of,
Muhammadu Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
It’s a very simple formula.
Obey Allah,
which is the what,
and in the way of the Nabi alaihi salatu wa sallam,
which is the sunnah,
which is the how.
To give you an example,
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala ordered us to worship no one other than Allah.
And that is what Islam is.
We say,
Ashadu billahi ila Allah,
I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah.
So when a person accepts,
Ashadu billahi ila Allah,
that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah,
the question is,
how do I worship Allah?
And somebody might say,
I will write a beautiful nasheed,
and I will sing this,
and somebody might say,
I will beat drums,
somebody might say,
I dance,
and I whirl,
or spin like a top,
and I do this,
and I do that,
and I feel,
very spiritual doing it,
and I feel very good doing it.
Is any of this acceptable with Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala?
No.
Because what you feel doing that is not a criterion before Allah.
I may feel,
many people feel many things,
subjective feeling.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is not bound by my feelings to accept or not accept.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gave us a standard.
Allah said,

Allah said,
Allah said,
Allah said,
Allah said,
for you,
the best example is in the life of my Nabi,
alayhi salatu was salam.
And Allah mentioned to whom for this,
to whom this is an example.
لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُ اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَةِ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِرًا
For the one who looks forward to the meeting,
who is in the middle of the night,
who is in the middle of the night,
who is in the middle of the night,
who is in the middle of the night,
who is in the middle of the night,
and who looks forward to the day of judgment,
and who remembers Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala a great deal.
Now think about that.
Who will look forward to the day of judgment?
يَوْمَ الْآخِرَةِ
Who will look forward to that?
Who is waiting for it?
Let it come quickly.
Who is waiting for it?
Because if you read the descriptions of the day of judgment,
إِذَا وَقَيَتِ الْوَاقِيَةِ
إِذَا ذُلْذِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ
ذِلْزَالَهَا
وَذُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ
ذَكَّةً
And so on and so on.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has painted a picture of the day of judgment
which is so terrible and which is so fear-inspiring
and which is so horrific.
Who will look forward to that?
But Allah says,
يَرْجُ اللَّهُ
Allah did not say the one who will meet.
We will all meet Allah.
Whether you like to meet Allah or not,
you will meet Allah.
I will meet Allah.
But Allah says,
يَرْجُ اللَّهُ
The one who is looking,
looking forward to that,
who wants to meet Allah.
وَالْيَوَّ الْآخِرَةِ
And who wants the day of judgment to come.
Who will do that?
Only somebody who hopes for the mercy of Allah
and the protection of Allah from all these things.
Who is guaranteed that?
لَخَدْقَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةً
The one who leads their life according to the
أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةً
of Allah.
of Rasulullah ﷺ.
So Allah gave us a template.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says,
the first example,
if I say,
we just prayed Salatul Isha.
And if somebody,
if I ask myself,
was my Salah good or not?
How do I know?
I must compare it to the Salah of Rasulullah ﷺ.
How did he pray?
Is my Salah close to that?
It will never be equal to that obviously.
But is it close to that?
So to be able to do that, what must I know?
I must know how he prayed.
This is where the importance of the Seerah of Rasulullah ﷺ comes in.
If you don’t know the Uswa of, Uswatun Hasana of Rasulullah ﷺ, how will you compare your
life with it?
Study of the Seerah is ordered and commanded by Allah.
Because Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is saying,
your life must be like the life of my Nabi alayhi salatu wasalam.
How will I know that unless I study it?
And that’s the reason why Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala also caused
the life of Rasulullah ﷺ to be preserved
in such immense and intricate detail.
There is nobody in the world
whose life is preserved in such detail.
He has preserved in such immense and intricate detail, every aspect of it.
His personal life with his family, his life as a commander of the army, his life as the
Rasul of Allah, his life as the head of state, his life as a businessman, the kinds of deal,
dealing he did.
How did he behave with poor people?
How did he behave with wealthy people?
And so on and so on and so on.
Every single detail.
His appearance, there are enough ahadiths about the appearance of Rasulullah ﷺ
for somebody like Imam Tirmidhi rahimahullah wa ta’ala
to make, compile all of them into a book called Shabair al-Muhammadiyya.
Now imagine if you say, I want to write a book and then you find there is not enough stuff,
just for three, four hours.
No, you can write a whole book.
And so the PLD said, what if every interview at one point, all of them be once for Zoom
as well?
I don’t think that it is something to see all the
information.
We will see.
It does not stop.
Say you said that this,-
Yes.
Yes.
need not ask.
And what will be the result of that?
Success with dunya wal akhara.
We will be highly successful people
because he was a man, who was he?
He was a man who was the most beloved,
the most influential,
the most powerful without using violence.
Anybody can be powerful.
If I hold a gun to your head, I’ll be powerful.
But he didn’t have to do that.
Right?
So this dunya.
And the akhara is the akhara of course.
So I remind myself and you,
let us spend some time
to study the seerah of Rasulullah s.a.w.
Make this farth on yourself because it is farth.
To study the seerah of Rasulullah s.a.w.
is wajib on every Muslim.
He must do it as part of their life,
as part of growing up,
as part of study,
as part of
where you call it academy or whatever you want.
You must study the seerah,
must study the biography,
the life of Rasulullah s.a.w.
because we are supposed to make our lives like his life
and obviously you cannot do that
if you don’t know what his life is.
And when you do that
and you try to live your life as he lived his life,
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
then you see how Allah s.w.t. opens doors for you.
How Allah s.w.t. will make you the most beloved,
the most influential person in the society that you live in.
We ask Allah s.w.t. to open our hearts and our minds
to Rasulullah s.a.w.
and to fill them with love for the Nabi s.a.w.
We ask Allah s.w.t. to make us among those
who will be called as the true mutira’een of Rasulullah s.a.w.
People who follow the Nabi s.a.w. in what he commanded,
and those who follow the Nabi s.a.w. in what he commanded,
and these people will also follow him
and their servants will obey
upon staircase ofHzamidiyya ,
and they will be among the most beautiful pendents,
