Assalam Alaikum Sheikh Sir,
I have a small query on giving zakat to the institutions which run on the zakat money as one of the sources to run residential institutions for poor
We personally don’t know these students studying/residing there
Can we give zakat to these institutions for the functioning & services
Similarly for the NGO who ask Zakat contribution for specific causes
Doing so do we meet the criterion of Zakat

No to both. Support such institutions with non Zakat funds. But Zakat has to satisfy the conditions mentioned earlier.
