In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammadﷺ and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and his companions. Peace be upon you all.
And now, my brothers and sisters, we all, or at least everyone I know, like to travel. We go on journeys. Internationally, nationally and so on and so forth, holidays. Sometimes we travel on work. So, travelling is not strange. And when you know you are going to travel, then the whole mindset changes. That you are going to leave your place of rest, your place of comfort, your home. That’s why Rasulullah said that travel is a hardship. No matter what travel, you might say, well I am travelling first class, I am travelling with… Doesn’t matter, whatever class you are travelling. It is still hardship because you are leaving your familiar surroundings. You are leaving your favourite pillow, your favourite bed. Whether you are going in a first class cabin of the plane, or whether you are staying in a five star hotel or not, doesn’t matter. You still have to go, nowadays you still have to go to the airport, three hours in advance, two hours in advance, and hang around there. We got used to all this.
I still remember, Alhamdulillah, I am from a generation which remembers a lot of firsts. There was a time when this was not there. I remember a time literally like going on a bus. You could go to the airport, buy a ticket and walk on to the plane, that’s it. There were no security checks. There was no check in time or nothing. You just got on the plane like you got on a bus. And so on and so on. So, lots of firsts. All that is long gone. Now we have got used to waiting for three hours. I mean imagine, you actually wait for three hours. We do it. People don’t even complain anymore. That is supposed to happen. If you complain, people will say, what kind of complaint is that? You know it’s three hours. You got used to the hardship. So, travel is a hardship. No matter where you are. That’s the reason why we have been given Rokhsa in the Salah. When you are travelling, then you can shorten your Salah. Right? The Usul of that is a different thing. But point is that travel is a hardship.
I remember myself when I knew that no matter how hard this travel is, no matter how much of a disruption this is. At least we have the benefit of saying that I have some preparation time. Right? I know when I am going. I know what time is that flight. So, I will plan and I will do whatever I need to do. I will pack my things and I will take what I need to take. All this is there and this makes a difference. But a journey is going to come where none of this will happen. Right? There will be no preparation time because we don’t know when that time comes. We will not be told in advance. We will not even be told one second in advance. There will be no time to prepare. There will be no time to say goodbyes. There will be no time to say do this for me, do that for me. Nothing. Right? There will be no time. We just go. When the time comes, we go. And that is the reason why as far as writing a will is concerned, meaning the last, the one-third of your wealth which you are allowed to leave for anybody except the orasa, people who will inherit from you anyway. That will, Rasool Allah said, two nights should not pass on a person or a night should not pass on a person except that he has written that. If you don’t write that, then all your wealth will go only to the people who are supposed to inherit from you according to the Sharia. But you have the choice of leaving one-third of your wealth to the people who are supposed to inherit from you. Somebody or some institution or whatever, which normally would not inherit from you. So, the importance of will. Be prepared in advance.
The reason I am saying this is to remind myself and you that a time will come when we have to go on the journey and through this journey there is no preparation at that time. So, the preparation has to be done from now. Because when the angels come, when the malaika come, the angels will come. There are reports of people, there is some research also being done, has been done on people at the moment of death, when they are dying. And one of the things they say is that there is a sudden burst of electrical activity in the brain. They call them gamma rays, which are electrical impulses in the brain. At the last minute. Now, there is some debate. Somebody sent me recently one clip saying that for seven minutes after the person is pronounced dead, these gamma rays are being generated in the brain and so on. That research is debated. We don’t know whether that is true or not. But definitely what apparently is true is that there is a last burst of electrical activity in the brain. And it is a very high level of concentration, very high level of awareness at that time. Imagine people are saying you are dead, but you have a very high level of awareness for even if it’s for 20 seconds, 30 seconds, that time. Wallahala. Maybe this is because now you see the angels. Maybe it’s because now the haqiqat is clear. The truth is clear. We spent all our lives denying that. Not us. Those who deny. But it becomes clear. No matter what you deny, then it becomes absolutely clear.
And Rasulullah described for us this entire journey. And this is necessary for us to listen to that description because this is something that nobody, none of us or nobody like us has gone and come back and described for us. Even Rasulullah said, He described from what Allah told him as a result of the Wahi which he received with regard to this last journey. And he said that when the person is in that state of nazaa, then the malaika come. And the person sees. And I’m talking about the one who is dying on Iman. May Allah make us all among those who will die on Iman. Iman bilkhair wa bilafiya inshaAllah. We and all our mutalqeen inshaAllah, all our people who are connected with us. So we will see the malaika. And Rasulullah said that then the haqiqat will become clear. And that is why at that moment the door of tawbah is shut. There is no tawbah after that. Once you see the reality, once you see the malaika, once you see the angels, there is no repentance. There is no tawbah. There is no returning to Allah . All that has to be done before. Because the basis of this, of our Iman is on al-Ghaib. The unperceivable. And when the Ghaib becomes the hadir, it’s over. Game over.
So we see the malaika. And he said to Allah for the believer, for the person who believed in the Ghaib without seeing, who believed in Allah without seeing, who believed in the malaika and the and the rasool and so on without seeing. For this person, the malaika will come and they will sit around this person, surrounding him, filling all the space. Imagine this is happening. Relatives and so on are standing there and looking on. Allah said when the breath is caught in the throat, the state of nazaa, the state of ghargharah, where a person starts making a sound as if he’s snoring, because the breath is leaving. So it’s not a sound. It’s in the throat. And Allah said you are standing there and you can’t do anything. You’re standing there, but you cannot do anything. You cannot help that person. And Allah says we are closer to them, the closest. Allah said we are closest to you at that time, but you do not see us. We ask Allah for his closeness at this time, inshaAllah. So the malaika will come and sit around. And then malakul mawth will come and sit near the head. And then he will draw the soul out of the body. Irji’i ila rabbiki raadiatam mardiya inshaAllah. Fadkhuli fi ibadi wadkhuli jannati. Enter the ibad of Allah, special slaves of Allah and enter Jannah. Malaika will sit and the soul will be drawn. And Rasool Allah said, and may this be true for us, that the soul of the believer will come out of his body like a drop of water falls out of a jug. No pain, no suffering, nothing, just like a drop of water. You take a jug and you tilt it, a drop of water falls out of it. Allah said.
And he said, Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, that malakul mawth will take the soul in his hands. And then the other malaika will ask and they will take the soul and they will pass it around like a newborn baby is passed around between relatives. Let me hold, let me hold it. And they will bring with them the clothing of Jannah. In another place he said green silks. Silk is not permissible for men to wear in this life, but in Jannah this will be permitted. So they will bring this clothing and they will wrap the soul like you wrap a baby. And they will pass it around from hand to hand. Now imagine all this is happening while people are still standing around and they are saying, oh, he’s gone, he’s gone, he’s dead. This is all going on. And then they will take. The soul. To the gates of the first heaven. And the guards of the gate will say, who is this? Who have you brought? And the malaika will mention the person with the best names that this person used to be called by in this way in this life. With respect, with honor. And the malaika will say, Marhaba, welcome. You are awaited. And the gate will be open. And this will happen for all the seven heavens. Gate after gate after gate. Until the soul is presented before Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. This is when you have died. This is not on the day of judgement. When you have died. Right then.
The soul will be presented before Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. And Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala will say, now go back and sleep in your grave in safety. And nobody will disturb you. Nobody will wake you up until you are called. On the day of judgement when the trumpet, the Sur is blown. And the soul will be brought back. And by now, maybe they are getting ready to do the ghusl. They are getting ready to put the kafan. The soul will be there watching it happen. They will be seeing it happening. And then the soul, the person in the grave, they will pray Salatul Janaza, which is the maqfirah, dua of forgiveness. And then the person is placed in their grave. And this is the final journey. We ask Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala for this for all of us. And for those who die without belief, it is the opposite. The soul is extracted. And the soul knows at that time what is going to happen. So it tries to hide in the body. It disperses in the whole body. But there is no escape. There is no escape. And the soul is drawn, Rasool Allah said, it is drawn like if you take a thorny branch and put it inside a ball or a stick. And then you pull it out. How will it come? With great difficulty. And that wet wool will be completely shredded.
So with such pain, people say, no, no, no, he passed away very peacefully. You have no clue, brother. You have no clue. What is happening to that person? You have no clue. Whether they passed away peacefully or without peace, you don’t know. You don’t know. Because this is all, this is in the Ghayb. In some cases, what Allah, when Allah wants to show some of the karamat He will show, people will say, we have so many instances of Salaf as-Saleheen where they said, marhaba bikum, ta’al, come, welcome to you, you are awaited, I have been waiting for you, all of this people have said because they have seen. But this is not a normal thing. This is to wait. Whoever Allah wishes, it happens. But for the normal person, you get disconnected from your, when you are dying, you get disconnected from whoever is around you. You get disconnected from this dunya because you know, now you know you are going. At that time, you would have seen people crying. You don’t see the person who is dying crying. He is not crying. He is not connected. He is disconnected. All the people you loved and this and that. You don’t see that. Before he dies, at the time when he is going, disconnected.
There is only one reality which is in front. And this whole deen and all of our reminders and this and that and the Salah and everything else is to remind us of this time and say, get disconnected before you are disconnected. That doesn’t mean leave your children, leave your, no, it means this whole love of theirs which is forcing you to disobey Allah . Don’t do that. By all means, love them. You should love them. You should love your children. You should love your spouses. You should love your parents. You should love your friends. You should be good to them and so on and so forth. All of this is part of Islam. But none of that must compel you or tempt you to disobey Allah . This is when the love becomes a problem because this love is making you, because you want to do stuff for your children and wife and so on and so forth, you will now do, for example, the weddings of the children. You will do things in the wedding which you know is haram. You know this is wrong. You still do it. You say, no, that is the desire of the child. What kind of desire is that? What is the desire of the child? How did you raise the child in a way where the child wants to do something which he knows displeases Allah . I mean, this makes no sense whatsoever.
But we do it, we do it. You see it all the time. So, the whole point is that we do not do this. Prepare for that. Faith is to see what you believed in unseen. This is faith. Faith is to, the reward of faith, not faith. The reward of faith, the reward of faith is to see what you believed in unseen. So, when we will see the malaika, when we see in the holy book, when we will see the divine, then we see it. So, when we see the divine what will happen is that everything will be revealed to you. If all will see that He has the dooms to show you. All those who will enter the Divine has indeed a Prophet who may He exalted or check. All of you that, we will see. If God has anyly given a son or a better son that He will bring every human being to Him, there is nothing that cannot be done by him. That is why we are all such things. It is what it is. Be with Rasool Allah was the ultimate thing. There was nothing that they wanted to do more than that.
So they would leave their work and come and sit in the Majlis. They would leave their home and come and sit in the Majlis. We want to be with Rasool Allah. So they said to Nabi , they said, Ya Rasool Allah, here we are with you, we are in your Majlis, we sit with you, we see you, we listen to you. But you know in the Akhirah, you are the Rasool of Allah, you will be your Jannah, we don’t know where you are, what level, highest possible level of Al-Firdaus, for us, we will get Jannah, but you know, I don’t know, will we see you? But there now the distance is too much. Nabi said, in Jannah, there will be Dara Jat, of course, people, Allah will give to whoever He gives, but He said, you will be able to invite whoever you want into your Jannah.
So think about this. Today we are in the Akhirah. Did we invite people, you have a party, you have a Dawat, you have a Waleema or something, you invite people and you say, well, here’s a guest list, did we miss anybody, did we call so and so, did we call so and so, what is that guest list? Did you invite Ibrahim ? Did you invite Musa ? I want to talk to Musa and ask him, how was it when you struck the sea with your staff and the sea parted? Not one, twelve paths, from the twelve tribes of Mani’s right, walls of water standing, path between the walls of water and the ground is dry, this is the bottom of the ocean. How was it? I want to ask Musa . I want to ask Noah , how was it? You are sitting in this place which is completely dry, there is not even rain falling from the sky, you are building this boat. How did it feel? People must have felt it. People must have thought you are crazy. And then how did the water come? I want to ask Rasulullah , Ya Rasulullah, how was it when you went to Taif? How was it in Badr? You can do all this. InshaAllah Musa, if Allah wills, we can do all of this.
I am not saying that you should not do it. You might have been strong, you are ngườiğiniur lagi. Cik haber ko tafsir justu halein dan saya. Tuk tersaring bir ker eres, kamu tahu tucare rauhi mudanan … Bhag Pep toothpaste behaviourih y bande sakit raha London saya. mejori produk pahaleul buhan, momento hace hua bi reel. You have performance too. He feels like he could do八r. So let us have desire. Desire is a good thing. People say kill your, no, no, no, don’t kill it. Let the desire be there. Desire is a very good thing. Alhamdulillah. The right desire. What is that desire? Not desire for haram. The right desire. And that is what Islam is. Guidance towards the right path. Islam is not to leave the dunya. We will leave the dunya one day. There is no doubt about this. We will leave the dunya. But when we are in the dunya, we live in this dunya as if we have already left the dunya. We live in this dunya connected to Allah . We ask Allah to make this possible for us. We ask Allah to make it easy for us. We ask Allah to help us to do this in a way which pleases Him. We ask Allah to make this possible for us. We ask Allah to make it easy for us. We ask Allah to make this possible for us. We ask Allah to keep us in the dunya as He kept us and to keep us under the shade of His Arsh when there is no shade except a shade and to keep us in the Jannatul Firdaus in the Majlis of Rasulullah and to decree that all of us InshaAllah see Allah in Jannatul Firdaus as he made me say. I ask Allah, Ya Allah, make this happen. Wa Salala wa ala Nabiyil Kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma’in bi Rahmatika wa Rahmatika.
Thank you.
