As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wa salatu wa salamu ala yasharafi al-anbiya wal mursaleen. Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam. Tasliman kathira kathira. From Abadu, my brothers and sisters, one of the great scholars of this Ummah of the Tabi’in, was a man called Fudail bin Yaad, rahmatullahi alayhi. Fudail bin Yaad, rahmatullahi alayhi, he had a very strange and interesting history. Because he was a bandit.

He used to rob people.

And one of the ways he used to rob people was to break into houses.

And one of the ways he used to rob people was to break into houses. So one day, he was, he climbed over, or he was attempting to climb over the wall of one house. And as he got on top of the wall, there was a man inside the house, he was reciting Quran. And that man recited the ayah, Alam ya’ni lillazeena amanoo an takshaa khulubuhum li dhikri lah. Which means, has not the time come for the people to come to Allah? Has not the time come for the people, for the believers,

to have their hearts which shiver with the khashyat of Allah, with the fear of Allah, with the fear of displeasing Allah?

An takshaa khulubuhum li dhikri lah. Has not the time come for the dhikr of Allah to shake somebody’s heart? Has not the time come for the believers to have their hearts affected by the dhikr of Allah?

Now, Khudail bin Ayah is sitting and imagine, this man is a thief, he is a robber. He is going into the house with the intention of robbing. He is climbing on top of the wall, and he is hearing this recitation of Quran.

And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala causes his heart to change at that point.

His heart changes at that point, sitting on top of the wall, with the intention of robbing. And we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to help us and change our hearts and make our hearts obedient to Him. Jalla jalaloo.

So he changed that, he changed his entire life. And he became one of the greatest scholars of Islam. He became a great Qadi.

And Alhamdulillah, he did many things. Now, they asked him, what do you find the strangest of all things?

What do you find the strangest of all things? He replied,

it is the heart that knows Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, yet still disobeys Him. Hmm? The strangest thing is the heart that knows Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, yet still disobeys Him.

The person knows Allah, he said, la ilaha illallah. The person is praying, he is fasting at Ramadan, right? Maybe he gives zakat, maybe he has made Hajj, maybe he has made Umrah, yet he still indulges in haram. Yet he still earns haram. He still deceives people. He still spends haram. He is still eating and drinking haram.

He is still oppressing people. He is still abusing people. How strange is that?

That a person knows Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. After all, if he prays Salah, what do you say? He knows Allah.

If you know Allah, how do you deceive Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala? He knows Allah.

And then,

then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then then then then then then then then then And that is Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. The more we love Allah, the more we want to please him. And that makes us more .

Taqwa increases with the knowledge of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. Now, the knowledge of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala is of two kinds.

We know Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala in terms of his glory and majesty, the greatness of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, the power of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. That Allah is the Khaliq, we are the . Allah is the Malik, we are the . Allah is the , we are the . Allah is the , we are the .

So we know Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala in his glory and majesty, in all that he created, all that we know and all that we don’t know.

And we marvel at his glory, from the smallest of his creations to the largest of his creations. . . All that we know, because we don’t even know how much.

.

And the other way we know Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala is very personal, which is in terms of what Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala blessed us with, what Allah gave us. And that is called . We make to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, but he, , gave us the permission to make sajda before him. .

Because if Allah had not permitted us, we would have done what the majority of the world till today does. Muslims are supposed to be one in four, one in five, that sounds like a big number, Alhamdulillah, it is a big number. But what it also means is that it’s only one in four. So four are not Muslims.

So there are four Muslims. Four times more people who don’t know Allah, who do not obey Allah, who do not worship Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala than the number of Muslims.

So Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala chose us and selected us and allowed us and permitted us to make sajda to him. How much to thank Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. This is the biggest of all the ni’mat of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. . Everything is the ni’mat of Allah, our sight, our hearing, our smelling, our taste, right? The wealth Allah has given us, the freedom Allah has given us, the time that Allah has given us, the ability to fulfill our desires that Allah has given us, all the halal desires,

our families, friends, everything is the ni’mat of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. . So the biggest of those ni’mat, there is no ni’mat bigger than this, which is the permission to make sajda to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. Biggest ni’mat.

Because when the slave, Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, when the slave makes sajda on the farsh, he is making sajda before the Arsh of Ar-Rahman.

Right?

This is the awareness with which we need to do this. As we know from the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, he said, the slave makes sajda before the 그랬 그랬 그랬 그랬 그랬

Malik, I am Malik. Allah says, I am the King, I am the King. Al Malik al Quddus, Al Malik al Haqq, La Ilaha Illa Huwa Rabbul Arshi al Kareem.

And then Allah says, who is there who needs my protection, let him ask, I will protect him. Who is there who needs my forgiveness, let him ask, I will forgive him. Who is there who needs anything, let him beg, let him ask, I will give him.

Who else is there to give us?

And Allah himself descends to this, comes close to us and Allah is saying, ask me, I will give you.

How can we thank Allah? Before we ask him, how can we thank Allah for this?

How can we thank Allah that Allah spoke and this Kalam is the Kalam ul Majeed? Al Furqan ul Hameed?

The Quran al Kareem? Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us the permission to recite it, to read it, to look at what we have written. So the Kalam is the speech and the speech has been written. We read that. Allah gives us the permission to memorize that.

Allah allows and permits that to stay in in our hearts, may Allah have mercy on us, our hearts are filled with, you know what they are filled with.

Despite that, Allah SWT allows the Quran to remain there.

How can we thank Allah SWT?

Do we thank Allah SWT? And this thanks increases our love for Allah SWT. And this is my Rabb. My Rabb chose me out of all His creation to pray Salatul Fajr to Mehmood. My Rabb chose me out of all His creation to make Sajda to Him. My Rabb chose me out of all His creation to sit in His remembrance and to thank Him and to make sugar to Him.

And the more we reflect on this, the more the love of Allah SWT increases in our hearts. And Allah says, And I say that the believers are those who love Allah SWT to the extreme. Who love Allah more than anyone or anything else.

This is Allah SWT.

And to disobey that Rabb. Imagine how unfortunate and how tragic that is. If we do it. To disobey that Rabb, the one to whom we owe every single thing and yet we disobey Him.

How completely and terribly tragic is that?

Even though we know that whatever He ordered us to do is for our good. Allah does not gain anything from this. It’s for our good. Allah SWT

gave us a law.

He gave us a way of living in this world.

And that way is for who? It’s for whose benefit? Our benefit. If we live, in this world, the way Allah SWT commanded us to live, we will live a beautiful life.

Hayatun Tayyiba.

Because a life which is based on compassion, on kindness, on justice, on fairness. How can it be anything other than good?

Because we are seeing the opposite of what is happening today in the world. It’s the opposite. A life which is based on goodness. A life which is based on oppression. A life which is based on people taking advantage of each other. Oppressing the poor. Oppressing the weak.

And really and truly, if you think about it, there is nobody who likes what is happening. No one.

Everyone in the world is unhappy. There is nobody in the world who is happy, who is saying, Oh, this is fantastic. You know, this is fantastic. Let us have the world as it is. We don’t need to change anything. This world is a beautiful place. Right? Nobody says that. Everybody is unhappy. The Muslim is unhappy. The non-Muslim is unhappy. Everybody is unhappy. I said, why are you unhappy?

All you need to do, we have, we don’t even have to invent anything. We already have this way, which is the way of Muhammad SAW. Allah SWT has given us a way, Allah SWT gave us the book, and Allah SWT sent us a teacher to teach that book, and to demonstrate that by practicing it in his own blessed life.

But despite that, if you don’t follow, and that’s why, Uday bin Ayyad Rahmatul Ali, he said this, A heart which knows Allah, yet disobeys Him.

We ask Allah SWT to give us hearts which are obedient to Him, to give us the Aamal which will please Him, and to make us obedient to Him, always, always, InshaAllah. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet and his family, and upon his family and his companions, and upon his family and his companions, and upon his family and his companions.
