Allah is not the one who makes you go. If Allahﷻ wanted to misguide you, then He would not have sent the Rasulullah to say. He would not have sent this Kitab. There was no need to do anything. We would have been misguided anyway because we know Yusuf , Allahﷻ mentioned in the Quran Surah Yusuf, إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَتُمْ بِالسُّوءِ Verily, my nafs takes me towards misguidance, takes me towards sin. So, Allah does not need to do anything if He wanted to misguide. [unclear] نعوذ باللہ اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ ہمارے پاس ہدایت برمیان کرتے ہیں۔ [unclear] لیکن جب لوگ
[unclear] میٹل شمیفی دوروں میں اعزائی کرتے ہیں۔ [unclear] جب وہ [unclear] گاہی دوروں میں پرسانے سے سب سے کم کرتے ہیں۔
[unclear] آمد ہوگی جب توشش دproblem ہیں اور غیر قبول رسول اللہ [unclear] سبحانہ وتعالیٰ سے آئے ہیں۔ [unclear] دیسپائید ہماری خطاب کی آمدہ ہوگی۔ [unclear] اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ اور قرآن کریم eating haram lifestyle, deliberately angering Allahﷻ, indulging in kufr and shirk and all kinds of bid’at, then Allahﷻ leaves them. Allah leaves them, Allah says, okay, if that’s what you want, take it, right? You want Jahannam, take it. So when we talk about that, we must remember this.
So He says that Allahﷻ, there are three things that people get involved in and so Allah’s Rahmah is removed, they are removed from the Rahmah of Allah . And those three things, one, he says Allah grants him knowledge without the inspiration to practice thereupon. So, person has knowledge, but he will not act on this knowledge. He knows Salah is fard, he will not pray. He knows praying in the Masjid has 27 times the reward of praying at home, he will not go to the Masjid. Even though he might be literally living in a house next to the masjid, he will still not go to the masjid, he will pray at home or he will not pray at home. A person knows that not paying zakat, this is haram, deliberately not paying zakat is kufr, still he will not pay zakat. Allah has given him the wealth. He doesn’t look at the fact that alhamdulillah I am in a position to pay zakat. I am not in a position to receive zakat. Because Allah gave the wealth. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala
جہاں آپ وہاں رہے ہیں، آپ کے ہاتھ میں ایک اچھا رہا ہے کہ کوئی آپ کو اپنے زکاة دے جائے۔ لیکن اللہ نے اسے نہیں کر دیا۔ الحمدللہ، اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں زکاة دے جائے گا۔ لیکن جب ہم زکاة دے گئے ہیں، شیطان اس سوچ کو پہنچتا ہے۔ آپ نے بہت ساری دوست دیا؟ بہت ساری دوست، بہت ساری لاکھوں، بہت ساری کروڑوں، لہذا الحمدللہ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے زکاة میں بہت ساری رہا ہے۔ that my zakat is in crores, Alhamdulillah,
Allah could have put you and me in a situation, where we are waiting to see, I hope somebody will give me zakat, so I can eat, there are people like that, after all you are paying zakat to somebody like that, Allah did not do that, Allah put you in this situation, so when you are in that situation, what must we do, we are thankful to Allah, Alhamdulillah, we must be grateful to Allah, we must pay our zakat and do that, instead of that, we use that money for all kinds of haram things, things and ostentatious things and you know, this is a very big musibat. So, we know the thing, but we will not, we have the ilm, but we will not practice. If this is happening in our lives, then we must immediately stop and be warned that, maybe Allah is angry with me, so Allah has put me in the situation where I know what I should do, but I am not doing it.
Then second thing he says, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala allows this person the company company of the Salaheen, company of the righteous people without recognizing their status and without appreciating them. So, you are sitting in the company of righteous people, you are sitting in the company of scholars, you are sitting in the company of people who are close to Allah . But you don’t respect them, you don’t appreciate them, you treat them like anybody else. There is no adab. [unclear] یہ ایک سہن ہے کہ اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ آپ کے ساتھ ریزی رہا ہے۔ [unclear] کہ اللہ نے آپ کو کچھ سے اہم کرنے والا تھا۔ [unclear] لیکن آپ کو اہم نہیں کرتا کیونکہ آپ اس کے لئے کوئی مطلب نہیں ہے۔ [unclear] ثانی بات کہ اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ اسے بہترین اعمال کے بارے میں [unclear] اعمال کرنے والا ہے۔
[unclear] اس کے لئے اعمال قیودی لوگوں کے ساتھ ہوتا ہے۔ [unclear] ریاء کی طرف کو بھیا جاتا ہے۔
ایک احساس کیا ہے کہ اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ نے اپنے احتمال کے لئے احتمال کیا ہے۔ تو آپ کو عطا کر رہے ہیں لیکن آپ کو دیکھ رہے ہیں۔ آپ کو صورتحصہ کرتے ہیں اور آپ کو فیس بک پڑھتے ہیں۔ اوہ میں نے اتنا عطا کیا۔ یہ دنیا میں ایک عمید مسئلہ ہے۔ میں نے کہا کہ یہ سوشل میڈیا میں ایک بڑا مشکل ہے۔
ہر چیز کو سب سے مجھے دکھانا چاہتا ہے۔ تو اللہ کے لئے کیا ہے؟ وہاں اخلاق ہے؟ that. No, no, no, I am doing it because I want to encourage other people. Let somebody else encourage other people. Has Allah given you this responsibility? You do your charity, you do your good works, do it quietly, do it in a way which only Allah knows. You want to encourage other people? Tell them about it. No need to show it. I am doing this. No no need to, please give charity, please do this, tell them, you can tell them, why must you show what you are doing?
So, three things, one, knowledge without practice, two, being in the company of good people, of scholars, of, you know, people who have knowledge, but no appreciation, no other, no appreciation. And the third thing is, doing things without ikhlas. Good work. Alhamdulillah, work is good, but there’s no ikhlas. That’s a tragedy because, you know, it’s like many, many years ago, may Allah bless that person, I don’t, even then I did not know who it was. In America, I’m talking about almost 30-35 years ago, I was in Jamaat somewhere and it was my bayaan, so I gave a bayaan. After I finished, one elderly person came to me. He said to me, bayaan was very nice, Alhamdulillah, very beautiful bayaan, Mashallah. But he said, I want to give you some advice. I said, please.
He said, I’m not criticizing you, but just advice for you to be careful. I said, please. He said, don’t become a flintstone.
In Urdu, it’s called a chakmak. He said, don’t become a flintstone. You know what a flintstone is? A flintstone is a stone that you strike these two stones, it produces a spark. So, use that to light fires. In the olden days when you didn’t have matches and lighters and what not, you struck these two stones, any basically any stone with some mica or something and it will produce some spark. So it produces a spark and you light fires with it. He said, don’t be a flint stone. So I said, JazakAllah Khair, what do you mean? He said, don’t be a flint stone because a flint stone lights many fires, but itself there is no warmth in it, there is no fire in it, it’s a stone. What a beautiful example he gave. He said, don’t be a flint stone. You light many fires, but inside you, there is no fire. You are a stone. I said, don’t be that. Meaning, practice on what you are saying. He’s not criticizing me. He’s not saying, he doesn’t know me. But I’m just saying that I take this as a warning to myself. [unclear] and I remember, I’m telling you, really, almost 35 years or more ago, this man, just one, [unclear] my interaction with him was, God knows, how long does it take to say this? [unclear] Less than a minute. [unclear] But I remember that, all these, when I bless him and I make dua for him, wherever he is, [unclear] may Allah keep him happy, if he has passed away, may Allah give him Jannatul Firdaus. [unclear] Really, I don’t even know who the person was. [unclear] I mean, we didn’t introduce our, he didn’t introduce himself, I didn’t ask his name, [unclear] nothing, but I know this incident happened, may Allah bless him, he said don’t become [unclear] a friend soon. Meaning, speech is very nice, other people are benefiting, but yourself, [unclear] always focus on yourself and say, Alhamdulillah, if Allah gave me some knowledge, let me use [unclear] this knowledge for my benefit first. Sayyidina Umar Ibn al-Khattab, famously he said, if
[unclear] ہے، دوسرے طرح۔ لہذا ایک ہوا ہے اللہ سبحانہ وتعالی کے تیارے میں، دوسرے ہوا ہے اللہ سبحانہ وتعالی کے تیارے میں۔ [unclear] لہذا میں اپنے ربا ہوں کہ ہم بہت خیار کریں۔ ہمارے جانے کے لیے ہماری کیا ہے کہ لوگوں ، لوگ [unclear] ہمیں یہاں تو ترک کرتے ہیں۔ حدیث بناوی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کہا ہے کہ بلغو انی ولو آیا۔ He said, even if you learn one ayat from me, pass it on, convey it to people. Please understand, he is saying this to people who were practicing everything they learned first. These are the sahabah of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He didn’t say that to me. He said this to Abu Bakr and Omar, Radhe Al-Anuma, right? He said it to people of that stature, who he knows these people are practicing. So now he is saying to them, if you hear and learn anything from me, convey it to people. he’s not saying it to people like me we don’t even practice what we know who are you going to convey forget this conveying and people come to me I want to become a great speaker he said become somebody who is a great worker become somebody who is a great doer not a speaker what speaking learn to act then Allah Ta’ala himself will use you Allah will give you the words if Allah wants you to speak Allah will make you speak
but today we live in a world where everything is appearance So, you do, you spend ten dollars, you want to put it on Facebook.
One person accepts Islam at your, at your hand and it’s not because of you. You know, all that happened to that person before he turned up in front of you.
I was in, one day I was sitting in a Masjid in West Springfield in America, time of Sanat Asad. Almost nobody, usual thing in Sanatana Zohar and Asad. So, there were like two, three people. Two boys come. One is probably about 11 or 12 years old. The other one was about a year or two older, maybe about 13, 14. The older one is bringing the younger one. Sheikh, make him Muslim. He said, what? He said, what? Make him Muslim. What do you mean, make him Muslim? No, he wants to become Muslim. Make him Muslim. So, I told this kid, I said, you want to become Muslim? He said, yes. I said, why? No, he told me. Can you believe it? And they came, this chap, he brought his little, this friend of his on his bicycle from at at least maybe 10 miles away. So, he’s 10 miles, he’s cycling with his kid on the back of his bike, bring him to the masjid, Sheikh, make him Muslim. He says, Subhanallah, hajib hafari. A little kid, 10, 11 years old, you know. Anyway, my point is, I didn’t go into the thing of, who’s your father, mother, I said, okay, decide the kalima, you decide the kalima, may Allah make you Muslim, may Allah bless both of you, and khalas, they went away. But I’m just saying, Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, And there’s so many such incidents, I don’t want to take your time now where Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala literally it’s like a ripe fruit falling into your into your lap right Allah has done all the work on this person he comes to you just to recite the Kalima Allah wants to give you the reward of this thing no work you did God knows who did what what happened he comes to you the moment he recites Kalima no hold on please take a video take a video now you take this video of this person then this goes goes on Facebook what is this
do Allah give him something enjoy the blessing of Allah sit with him if you have that much of interest teach him some Salah teach him some Dhikr whatever instead of that that is because this whole atmosphere today the kind of society we live in everything is for the outside everything thing is to show somebody please let’s get out of this this is a very very fatal problem of riyah of showing off we’ll talk about this tomorrow inshallah but of this whole issue of riyah of showing people no need to Allah Alhamdulillah Allah Ta’ala knows Allah knows without showing let’s leave it like that with you and Allah we ask Allah to give us sincerity and ikhlas we ask Allah to help us to do good and to hide it we ask Allah that we must do good and nobody should know, except Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. So when we go before Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, inshallah, we can hope for the reward of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. Wasallamu ala nabiyyil kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma’in.
